Always on top of the latest trends., great tips for new techniques, lots of variation in products used

lots and lots of ads, Not always as thick as you might like.

I have been a scrapbooker for 10 years and this has always been my favorite scrapbooking magazine. I have found, however, that over the last couple of years the content has dwindled. There seem to be more ads and less ideas. In comparing the size of the earlier magazines to the current ones, they have grown smaller to almost half of what they used to be. I still enjoy reading them and get ideas, but there just isn't much there anymore. This magazine is geared more toward the type of scrapbookers who scrap moments in time, feelings, and sentiments, rather than events. I am an event scrapper, so it doesn't appeal to me much anymore, but I say go for it if you like that type of scrapping. It's a decent price if you subscribe to it. Another thing that bothers me about it is the inconsistency in which I receive each issue. In December of 2007 I received the Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb issues. 4 in one month! And then I had a dry spell for about 3 months. I like getting them, but I want them to be spread out. They do have the latest trends and keep things fresh, but it seems to encourage you to spend lots of money! They try to entice you to buy all the latest and greatest stuff, which obviously is what businesses do, but sometimes I wish they would give it a break and encourage budget scrapbooking.
