Hours and hours of Crayola FUN!

5

I purchased the Crayola Glow Station to be used by all the kids in the house, ages range from 2 to 11. Very easy set up, take it out of the box, hang it up, throw in 2 AAA batteries and its ready to be used. Days and nights of fun! Kids love to make shapes and watch them glow. Comes with a glow wand and an additional diamond shaped top. Also comes with stencils. We have been using this for well over a year. I use rechargeable batteries and we have had the same ones in since the beginning. Highly recommend this!

What a fun toy!

I got this for my son for Christmas. I found such a great deal on it i could not resist and I did not care if it isn't really intended to be used by a three almost four year old. My son loves all things Crayola, he's a real artistic type so I knew he would love the Crayola Glow Station. When he opened it on Christmas morning his eyes filled with excitement and he could not wait to get it out of the box and start playing with it! We took it out of the box, hung it on his wall and put batteries in the glow stick thing. We showed him how to use the stencils and just let him go at it! He loved it! He played with it for hours and hours and even now, two months later he still loves playing with! The only downside is that since its glow in the dark he can only play with it at night or on a really cloudy day because of how many windows he has. I think I should have gotten the day and night one so he could play with it whenever he wanted, and not just at night!

This toy is pretty good.

Last year for Christmas my daughter received a bunch of the Crayola glow stuff.  The excitement level was really high at first.  Both of my children were dying to ripe into the stuff.  We opened up the glow station and the glow dome and started playing.  Everything was great at first, but then nothing.  It only took a couple of weeks before both kids were totally bored with the toys.  The biggest hits of all of the glow station stuff were the wands that they come with.  I hope that I will be able to bring the stuff back out again and capture their interest, because I think that the toys are fun.  They were not cheap, but didn't cost too much either.  I was hoping for longer use out of them.  The idea is really cool.  there is no mess and lots of creative thinking going on while you play.  Both boys and girls seem to like it equally.  I am not going to buy anymore glow station stuff, but I am going to try to get them to play with the stuff that they have.

great fun for kids of all ages

This is so cool. All of my kids ages 11, 7 and 3 love this. I got it for my 3 year old for Christmas but they all have spent many hours playing with it. No mess as light is what you use to draw. It is big enough for lots of room for drawing fun. It comes with lots of stencils to use. I love that there is snap in places for both the wand and the star tip. It is easy to store and easy to set up for use. There isn"t any pieces that can break which is a real plus in my house. Very simple design that gives hours of fun. I got this at 60% off during xmas sales, but would gladly have paid twice as much as I did for it after trying it out. Crayola really out did themselves with this toy. One of the coolest things to do with this is to put your hand or side of your face against the board and then use the wand to imprint them with light. Pull your face or hand off and a perfect profile is left behind. I can't rave about this toy enough. Of all the presents my kids got I am the most happy with this purchase.

Crayola glow Station offers creative fun with no mess

4

My two and a half year old received this for Christmas. So far she has enjoyed it as have her older sisters ages six and seven. In a dark room the image is bright and stays on the paper for a while before fading away allowing the child to draw another picture. It comes with lots of stencils, most are space themed or animasl, which are easy to use with the light pen. I'm encouraging my kids to "draw" with the pen by hovering over the page not actually pushing the tip on the paper so the pen will last longer. It works fine that way and is actually how its intended to be used with the stencils. As a mom of three kids I appreciate the fact that they can color and be creative without all the mess of crayons and markers. It may not be intended for two year olds, but so far its been great for mine because she loves to color. I would definitely recommend this to a friend as a creative and very different toy.

What a neat idea for a toy!!

My son (who is three almost four by the way) received the Crayola Glow Station as a Christmas gift. He didn't really understand what it was until we got it set up in his room. Let me just say, this toy is a HUGE HIT now! He won't stop playing with it! We have only had it for a few days now but he still hasn't lost interest, in fact, everytime someone comes over he HAS to show it to them, forget the other toys he got for christmas-THIS was the coolest! The only thing that needs batteries is the wand, you hang the other thing on the wall and get the room as dark as you possibly can. Then just switch the wand on and start drawing. It came with a neat crystal attatchement as well as some stencils (we haven't tried those out yet though!) I will definetly be ordering the travel one for in the car as well as the day time/night time one. This is such a fun and unique toy that I would most definetly recommend to friends with children of all ages!

I wish I had this when I was a kid

My 5 year old daughter and I have had a lot of fun playing with the Glow Station. She's had it for over a year now and still has a lot of fun with it, but I think I play with it even more then she does. I wish the drawing tool would have a button to hold down while drawing/writing instead of an on/off switch. I think it would make it a lot easier to use. I'm glad I bought this for my daughter.

Fun and different for kids

This is a unique toy for kids.  It is a poster sized drawing board that kids can draw or write on with a magic pen that draws in green ink.  It glows in the dark so kids can write in dark or light.  It shows better in the dark.  The drawing starts to dissolve almost immediately so you can draw something else.  It comes with stencils you can use to draw different shapes.  It also comes with a special pen top that can be used to make a star or other shapes.  This one is not supposed to touch the canvas though.  Had to take that one away until we can learn to remember that it will damage the canvas.  It can hang on the wall so it doesn't take up room in a toy-box.  There are hooks on the bottoms to hang the stencils. Kids can practice drawing and writing.  It's a very fun toy for kids and adults too because of its uniqueness.  It isn't messy since there is no crayons, markers or paint.  The only down side is your picture doesn't last long.  If you want to show mom or dad your picture you'd better hurry up.

THe crayola glow station is great for all ages

4

The Crayola glow station is a great toy for all ages.  My first grader asked for this for Christmas last year and has used is often since then.  It is great for kids who are just learning to write.  It makes a great place for them to practice their writing. It also encourages creativity - they can write, draw, or trace anything.  THe set comes with the light pen and hanging mat.  It also comes with a cool crystal that attaches to the pen and makes star like shapes.  It also comes with lots of cool stencils to use.  I have found only two drawbacks with the crayola glowstation.  The first drawback is that sometimes the images made on the crayola glowstation are hard to see if it is being used in a well lit room.   It works much better with the lights turned off.  The other drawback I have found is that the pen remains on until you turn it off.  My kids often forget to turn the pen off and we have been through lots of batteries.

The Crayola Glow Station is a great toy until it breaks

So my kids had been wanting one of these for quite a while and found one on sale and purchased it. It was such a hit. We hung it up in one of the kids rooms and every night it was a fight over who got to play with it first. It comes with stencils and pattern sheets that make drawing really neat. My kids would put things like thier hands on the board and draw around it too. Unlike similar toys we have had the image stayed on the board a decent amount of time before fading away which kept the kids interested longer. Over a few months time the kids noticed that it was harder and harder to draw until one night the pen wouldn't work at all. What had happened was that the tip of the pen slid down inside the pen shaft and there is no way to get it out and now the kids can't play with the toy. Yes the Crayola Glow Station is a neat idea and a great toy but it doesn't hold up well to children, mine are 3,6 and 8.
