Crayola Color Wonder —

I tried a few of the Crayola Color Wonder products thinking "What a great idea! Creativity without the mess?!" I hate to say that it is a little good to be true. Yes, they do work. Your child can draw, paint etc without adding color to your whole house. On the down side they are drastically over priced, and it can take serveral seconds for the colors to appear, if you have younger children this can be just enough time for them to lose interest. The finger paints run out quite quickly and our markers dried out quickly. You have to have the special paper so once you run out, if the paint and markers are still working, you have to go spend more money. I am all about letting my children express themselfs through art. I think it just works better to do it the old fashioned, although sometimes messy, way. Put down some newspaper, add an old shirt for clothing saving purposes and let the creativity begin. I haven't tried all of the products but those I haven't friends have and they give me pretty much the same reaction. I love crayola and the idea but again, Crayola Color Wonder products, to me, are just a really good idea that just didn't do it for us.
