Color Wonder, Not all Wonderful.

1 star rating

Cons
Become visible when painted over, Expensive than other coloring products, delay before drawing is visible

I purchased the color wonder markers, and glitter paints, and finger paints for my 3 year old.  I love the idea, but the actual product isn't quite  all it's cracked up to be.  All three products have a delayed reaction.  From the time you paint on the paper to the time the color shows up completely is actually about a 2 second delay.  Also the colors were quite dull. The glitter won't leave color behind, but it does leave glitter behind, and of course the finger paints aren't exactly mess free either.  Your child will be left with goopy gunk all over their hands (and whatever else they touch.) With all of those things, I still would have been ok with the color wonder, it wasn't until I decided to paint my child's room, that I discovered the real disadvantage.  Color wonder reacts when you paint your child's room, so all of a sudden these invisible hieroglyphics become visible on your walls.  I am through 2 coats of regular primer, and one coat of Kilz stainblocking primer and the color wonder marker is still bleeding through.  Wish I had known this before I let my kids draw just anywhere with these "invisible" markers!
