Imagine allowing your child to draw with markers right on your living room furniture.  No way would we let our children do this, would we?  Well, with Crayola Color Wonder, you can let them color ANYWHERE and not have to worry about ink leaking on your carpets or furniture.

The makers of Crayola Color Wonder are geniuses.  They've designed these special markers that will only work on Crayola Color Wonder paper.  If you try to use them on anything else, they don't work.  You can leave the top off of the marker and lay it on the carpet, and you'll see nothing.  You never again have to worry about marker on anything other than the paper.  How smart is that?

There are so many sets that you can select from.  You don't get just blank paper (although you can buy that too).  You can buy sets with actual coloring pages with all your child's favorite characters.  You can find Disney character books, books on Dinosaurs, animal books, sports books, etc.

They are also designed for different ages.  Infants & Toddlers get big pictures with little detail.  Preschoolers can select from activity books that teach the alphabet and numbers.  Older children can find popular characters like Hannah Montana, Sponge Bob Square Pants, or even activity books that focus on subjects like U.S. States or Presidents of the United States.

The colored markers that come with the sets are the same colors you find in with regular markers.  This way, if you're buying for a younger child, they'll feel like one of the big kids.  They'll be using the same kind of material, but there's just a little magic to it.

When Crayola Color Wonder first came out, I thought it was pretty expensive.  However, now, I think it's come down in price and is more affordable than it used to be.  For a book of plain paper, you'll pay about $ 5.00.  For ten markers, you'll pay around $ 8.00.  You can buy a themed set (for instance a Disney Sleeping Beauty set) that comes with a 24 page coloring book and six markers for $ 10.00.  The sets are much better deals then buying everything individually.

These are great products with one drawback. My best friend has been using these with her grandson who will be four in Jan. She has been using them for perhaps a year. Well, he got used to the "no boundaries and no damage" concept and went to school one day and got a hold of a marker. See where this is going? He drew all over a table and it even surprised him when he began to see all his fancy work begin to take shape. Because no one was concerned with him having his Crayola Wonder markers they didn't think to explain to him that not all markers are the same.

Tough lesson learned but the school was very understanding. His Nana, after all, is the Kindergarten secretary and was able to explain the situation. ~Gigi

I wish they'd made this product when my kids were small.
