Crash Review Summary

Crash was the Academy Award winner for best picture of 2006, and is a film that reviewers are unanimously agreeing “was worth every single award it earned” and that it did a superb job of intertwining many different storylines. The film shows the lives of several different characters living out a couple of days in the Los Angeles area, and all of the ups and downs of their lives. It deals with hard hitting issues like race and violence, and does so with a great cast that includes Brendan Fraser (The Mummy Returns), Sandra Bullock (Speed), and Matt Dillon (Wild Things). Reviewers found it interesting “that you get to see both sides to every character's story” and that “it has a wonderful message & got it across in a very real-life way”. Viewers found the film to be thought-provoking, and audiences that enjoyed The Shawshank Redemption or The Green Mile should enjoy Crash as well.

People of all sizes, shapes and colors collide in this dramatic film about racial stereotypes. You want to know the plot? That's it, it's all about racial stereotypes.

An Asian woman rear ends another lady and her "height" is being called into question as if she couldn't see over the wheel.

Two well dressed black men are in a good neighborhood complaining about the racial prejudice they just experienced in a restaurant. Why were they ignored while the "white people" were being served left and right? On the street, a white woman grabs her mans hand when she sees these two men.

I've wanted to see the film Crash for quite some time, and for one reason or another, just hadn't gotten to it yet. When I signed up with Blockbuster Online, I made Crash my first film in my queue. Having now watched it, I was definitely not disappointed, as it was full of meaningful thoughts on society as a  whole, just as I figured it would be.

Crash takes place in an area of Los Angeles that is racially diverse. Despite the fact that it's so diverse, no one seems to have tolerance of anyone else. Everyone is prejudiced against another part of society, and that's whether the people are thugs,...

I do not like dramas, or action films, or almost anything that's not comedy.  (Narrow, I know.)  My husband heard that this was a good movie and against everything in me I actually rented and watched it.  This movie offered a lot.  I love how the story wrapped around everyone and knitted the whole community together.  I love that you get to see both sides to every character's story.  For instance, at first you think that the white cop is just an a-hole, then you see how he struggles with his father and you actually start to feel for him.  There is good and bad in everyone and I think that... read full review »

I went to this movie not because this was a movie that I wanted to go see but because it was a movie that my boyfirend wanted to go see. I am so glad that I went to see this movie. This was one of the best if not the best movies that I have seen. I think it has a wo derful message & got it across in a very real life way. I think that even if you try ot live your life with no prejudices this movie shows us that it is hard to truely say that.. It would be great to live in an ideal world were it doesn't exist but the reality is it does whether it immediately effects us or not.

Crash,

Is one my top ten list for favorite movies I became engulfed in this movie. it shows how one simple action on one persons part and have a dramatic effect on another even if its a stranger. There really is good in everyone and Never judge a book by its cover. This movie had an everlasting effect on me.
