Cranium Reviews

Yesterday my mom, sister, aunt and I finally broke out the Cranium game I had bought years ago.  We never played it because I had friends who told me it was too complicated and I always thought no one would want to learn.  Well last night we finally gave it a try and I'm here to show you just how easy it can be!  We cut out a few of the rules and it really is quite easy to get started.

Getting started:

1. Place your pieces for each team on the first purple Brain spot. 
2. Team 1 gets to pick from any of the 4 colors to start (explained below)
3. Team 1 has to correctly accomplish the task on the card before...

My family and I enjoy playing board games, and Cranium is simply the best.  It has something for everyone!  I'm surprised more people do not rave about this game.  You are guaranteed a great time every time you play it, no matter your personality or age!

this is a good way to have a great time and help children learn.  Its awesome i recommend it for any family with school age children

My friend brought this game over to our house one night and it hasn't left the apartment since.  It's a great way to break the ice with newcomers to a close-knit group, or just watch your old friends make idiots of themselves.  There's a good balance between book smarts and creative aptitude, so it's not favoring one side of the brain over the other.  Excellent setup for a diverse group of people.

My only complaints are that you need a good amount of people to play a good game.  At least 4 people are needed (it does NOT work for only 2-3 people) and odd numbers are difficult to work with. ...

When my friends come over, we almost always pull out this game or another game by Cranuim.  They are so creative over there and always coming out with new and fun ideas.

I love how versatile this game is.  You can play with only a few people or a group of 20!  There's also expansion packs available for when you've got all the cards memorized.  Another great aspect of this game is all the mediums you get to use:  play-dough, sketches, charades, whistling/humming, puzzles, etc.

I bought Cranium because it had all these awards stickers on it.  My husband, lots of our friends, and I have such a blast playing this game!  It's always so much fun, and leaves no room for shyness.  The only downfall is we don't know the answers to about half the questions because they are so way before our time.
