We have this humidifier in our son's room. He has allergies and gets very dried out in the winter. Our allergist recommended we get a humidifier to help him sleep and keep moist. This humidifier is great because it looks like an animal which the kids like. Our son likes turning it on each night, as it's very easy to use. I like that it doesn't make too much noise and doesn't require filters. You do need to clean it regularly because it gets gel like gunk in the bottom of it after awhile. The only time the noise is annoying is when it gets towards empty and the water starts draining or something. It seems to be very durable, as the motor has not gone out and we run it every night. We've had it over a year.
