Craigslist — 

I like Craigslist as a cheap alternative to placing a pricey ad in the paper.  I always get tons of results from my postings so I know it works.  What I don't care for is when I'm looking for events tickets and wind up getting solicited spam, linking me to some broker's rip-off website.
