I have been extremely dissapointed in the quality of the sound on my Craig clock radio CD player. It sound like the LED lights are creating interference in the reception causing a loud hum. The CD sounds like a car engine with a bad lifter - put,put,put. The clock part works fine but if you want good sound I would suggst to run away from this one. I emailed the company about the hum and they didn't even respond. Probably because I bought it off of E-Bay as new.

The Craig CD/AM/FM Stereo Alarm Clock Radio is a great bargain and a great performer. It is solid and consistent, although its wheel shaped tuner sometimes makes it difficult to fine tune station settings. Its silver and steel blue case is attractive and easy to match with any decor, while its lightweight construction and battery powered option make it the perfect traveling companion. Although this DVD player is not the newest Craig model, it is certainly more than adequate and has remained in step with newer models. Perhaps a bit smaller than a full size boombox, this model is versatile and has excellent portability. The AM station tuning option, although present, is not one I have tested often and is not my preferred setting. At any rate, though, it is possible to tune to AM stations and, once successful, the sound quality is acceptable. The alarm clock feature provides accurate readings, which typically do not differ more than 1-2 seconds from the settings encountered on the atomic clock. A great value, very functional, easy to carry while traveling.
