My husband and I have this set of twelve Craftsman combination wrenches. They have been put to use time and time again on both the restoration of our midcentury modern home (a process that has spanned roughly 4 years in total and covers every floor, wall and surface in the home), as well as lawn equipment. Our home sits on a 5.5 acre yard, for which we have a lawn tractor, a push mower, a rototiller, and a snow blower for the driveway. My husband is very handy and does nearly all of the maintenance work on our home and the lawn care equipment. These wrenches are used on a weekly basis in our home and they have never given us a reason to complain. We are not always the biggest fans of Craftsman power tools but their hand tools are excellent quality and should be a staple for any tool box in every home. I would expect these to hold up very well over the next many years and may even end up getting passed down to our son, who is currently 2.

Craftsman makes amazing wrenches. At first you may be leery of their quality because they are so light weight; however, I assure you they are extremely good wrenches. I have a mismatched set of Craftsman brand wrenches right now because I lost a few of them and then replaced them with newer ones. My dad gave me the original set I had and he had them for MANY years before he gave them to me. They are such sturdy wrenches and if you do have an issue of any sort they are covered by a lifetime warranty! What I like about the various sizes that are in the sets is you are guaranteed to have one that will fit your needs. My boyfriend and I used these a lot the last time we moved and we had to constantly either take things apart or put them back together. Having so many options made that hassle just a little more tolerable. The only downside to all the Craftsman brand wrenches we own is that sometimes the grip is not that great and your hands can slide. Overall, these are great wrenches for a fairly low price and a lifetime warranty.

Crafstman wrenches come in a wide variety of both metric and standard sizes, providing the right size for just about any project. The open and closed ends are both useful for different types of jobs, and I have never had a problem with them in the several years that I have owned and used them. These wrenches provided me with very quality work for both personal home projects and professional jobs. Like other Craftsman tools, these wrenches are covered under Craftsman's wonderful lifetime warranty. Although I have never used this warranty for wrenches, I have used it for others tools, and it is the best available. If a wrench breaks or bends under normal usage, you can return it to any store that sells that Craftsman product for a free replacement. You do not need a receipt or even an explanation of how it broke. You simply turn in the broken one and receive a new one.

My wife had purchase a set of craftsman wrenches for my birthday and I have used them almost weekly since then. They are very durable as they are craftsman and I do not have to worry about breaking them because they seem to be very sturdy. I hope to pass this wrench set on too my son when he gets old enough.

Made in China junk at premium prices. I had an old set but it was stolen. I recently purchased these to replace them but found the new ones are now made in China. The finish is poor and box ends poorly fit on fasteners. Additionally the open end is much larger than the previous set I owned which makes it difficult for them to fit into tight spaces. If you're going to get discount tool quality, you're better off purchasing a set that saves you money as well.

I have used craftsman wrenches most of my life. Growing up on a farm, we performed all our own maintenance. We have always used both 6 and 12 point wrenches, some of them are older than I am. I purchased a metric set to work on my ATV while in high school, using them throughout my racing career. They have performed well doing everything from changing a front tire, to a full engine rebuild. I have since used them to build 3 different race motors, from 3 different ATV models, and the wrenches worked for every nut and bolt I tightened, torqued, or removed. As stated in another review, the 6 point wrenches work better for worn nuts and bolts, but the 12 point box end offers more angles for an easier fit in tight spaces. I have hundreds of craftsman hand tools, and they all live up to the craftsman name. I am now looking at buying a set of impact sockets for my new toy, which is powered by a VW motor. The impact will be needed to turn the bigger nuts and bolts, but we have used several cheater bars on craftsman wrenches over the years and they have taken the abuse in stride.

Everything in life has value. How much value is based on how critical the item it. If you are just putting together a swing set these are not for you. get something cheaper! However if you are a mechanic either professional or hobby these are for you! Craftsman stands behind their guarentee which is a total plus. Others -- Snap don't alway do so. All tools get abused and Craftsman doesn't seem to care. Even though these are now made in China there is no need to get excited. The quality is still there and that's great! The finish holds up well as I work on a farm with all sorts of chemicals. Plus if the finsih fails guesss what -- just return it and get a new one. That easy and no questions asked. Over the years wrenches have evolved and therefore some Craftsman items are no longer made -- then what? Well they simply substitue the new item for the broken tool. Does it get any better than that? If you make your living off of hand tools buy Craftsman!

We have owned these wrenches for years and they are still going strong.  They keep us safe.  We have been in quite a few pickles that these wrenches have gotten us out of.  I will be giving my son a set when he moves out of the house. They are so well made and sturdy.  The multitude of sizes are sure to be of help for that strange sized bolt you may be trying to loosen. We have fixed all kinds of items with our wrenches.  They have helped us through thick and through thin. I don't normally get sentimental about tools, but these tools have touched my heart. I recommend them to anyone who needs and wants a quality tool set. I will be buying another set for our vacation home in Maui. We will be making a special wooden box for the storage of our wrenches soon. If you want to buy wrenches that last and work well then craftsman is the answer for you. You can find them at great deals during certain times of the season as well.

I got my husband this craftsman wrench set for Christmas and boy was it a hit! It was nice to have many different sizes to chose from for when he is doing a project. I think Craftsman is a great brand to trust and buy! I find that out of all the other brands most men talk about what tools they have and the name Craftsman comes up a lot in there discussions. I feel it has been around for a long time and it will stay in the market as one of the best name brand tool products. I asked what he wanted for Christmas and he said maybe some wrenches or drill accesories, and he made sure to state, "Craftsman is the brand I would prefer if you get me tools!" So I stuck to what he said, and when he went to open it up he was presently surprised I listened and got the right kind! So if you are a tool lover, or have a husband or mate who is into tools, I don't think you can go wrong with any of there products! The wrench set was really nice looking, and it will be handy for him for years to come. Seems like they are made so strong, I don't think they will ever break!! Plus if you do break it, your in luck, they have a lifetime warrenty!! Just when you thought it wouldn't get any better!

     If you are looking for a wrench or set of wrenches you are intending to use frequently, or to be reliable to complete the job, there is no better bet than a craftsman. There are many other brands and cheaper sets but Craftsman aren't the ones in the tool box with spread ends or split box ends!!
