Amazing Lifetime Warranty

Very good quality tools for a very good price, all packaged together with a great warranty. What else can any person ask for? Performance I have yet to encounter a problem with any of the Craftsman power tools I own. Every other brand of power tools have issues with them in my garage due to an electrical issue with the house. This means a lot since Craftsman is the only ones with no issues at all. Durability Being a contractor, my tools are treated very poorly, and are contantly being dropped. These power tools have stood the test of wear and tear, and have prove themselves to me time and time again. Versatility These power tools will last forever. Short of actually trying to blow them up, there is not entirely a way to be able to make them stop working. Design I love the design, especially since they are getting more compact with more power. Keep it up Craftsman! Battery Charge Due to electrical issues with the wiring in my house, my batteries constantly get inconsitant charges. This means that I go through a lot of batteries for everything and yet have still not bought any new ones for the Craftsman products.

The ability to use the same battery with so many attachments is a great savings and great in a project. My sons have the same power batteries, so when working, we have many tools and can fly through a project. Great!

It's an excellent tool, that is probably my most used tool.

This tool is excellent for using anywhere and not having to drag cords out.  I use it often.  I have had lower voltage cordless drills and screwdrivers, but they do not do the job that the Craftsman 19.2 volt drill does.  I actually have two, so I can alternate with different bits and drills instead of having to change them.  The newest one has a light which comes in handy occasionally.

My 19.2v Craftsman drill/driver is part of a 5 piece combo set that I purchased 2 years ago as an upgrade from my 18.0v set.  I love this tool!  I am a woman with countless household projects and home improvements, and this is the first tool I reach for, no matter what the job!

Received this set as a gift about four years ago or so - have lost a few pieces over the years in moves unfortunately.  One of the missing pieces is the charger unfortunately.  The tools are not used on a regular basis at all and have been stored in my basement and garage, but the batteries have held a charge quite well.  The tools have held up well over the years and each still works very well.  The tools have been easy to use and store.  Loved the flashlight that came with the set, but lost that as well. The cordless drill has proved very beneficial over the years and I have no complaints about these tools. Came in a rolling foot locker shaped case and is very handy to move and store.  The case is not exceedingly heavy and is quite easy to move up and down stairs.  Would recommend this set to others and have in the past.  I will eventually replace the 19.2 volt charger and possibly the flashlight as this is a set I expect will last for quite awhile yet.

Great drill, Great price

I recently purchased a Craftsman 19.2V cordless drill.  This drill replaces the 15V drill Craftsman that I had previously bought.  The differences between the two are astronomical.  The 15V would not hold a charge for more than an hour, had to be charged all night long, and couldn't screw in any screw longer than 1 1/2 inch.  The 19.2V has no problem holding a strong charge for weeks when not in use, and when you use it, it comes through in every circumstance that I have used it.  The drill is strong, and comes with two torque settings (high/Low) and multiple fine tuning torque settings.  I had no problem using this drill when using 3 inch screws into treated two by fours.  It is also precise enough to use for finishing screws without damaging the finish.  Also included with the drill are integrated levels.  One is on the top to make sure you are level, and one is on the back to make sure you are drilling straight down.  I absolutly love this drill, and wish I hadn't tried to save money by picking the 15V drill over this one.

I have had this drill for 13 months now and love it.  It has a lot of power and I haven't found a job that it can't do.  My favorite thing about it is that I only need to charge it every 5 months or so, even with 3 or four projects completed with it during that time.  I used to use a drill made by Skil and everytime I got it out to use it, it was already dead so I basically had to plug it in a day before I plan to use it.  I have used it for a few large jobs including installing a microwave, and a garage door opener as well as smaller ones like hooks, bike rack, baby gate, etc.  The drill comes with two touble sided screw bits, so you have 2 philips head and two flat head sizes on the drill all the time which is awesome.  I have already worn out mine so I keep spares of those.  The drill has several settings for "give" so that when you are using it to drive screws, you will not end up over tightening and damaging your house or whatever project that you are working on.

I am a big Dewalt fan and have used them at work a lot. They are tough. When I got a 19.2 Craftsman set for a gift I had very little trust in them. I took them to Kuwait with me during a deployment and I was sold on them. The drills are extremely tough. I have about 3 of them now. They are all about 3-6 years old and still working. I have collected the kits and almost have a full set. The florescent lights are extremely nice for camping or just having in the car. tons of open light and not a beam. They also have a spot light which works very well. If they had a 19.2 snake light this collection would be complete.

Craftsman Cordless 19.2 Volt Drill has been very reliable

4

I have owned my Craftsman Cordless 19.2 Volt Drill for about 4 years now.  I have used it for wood working, masonary drilling, sheet metal drilling, and drilling through automotive steel.  This week I had my first battery finally go bad.  I have not found a project that this drill cannot perform and do with ease.  The battery life could be improved but you cannot get expect everything to be the same with a cordless power tool.  The keyless chuck seems to work okay but it is hard to get the drill to maintain grip on a regular (smooth shank) drill bit when you are drilling through thicker steels.  The levels built into the Craftsman Cordless 19.2 Volt Drill come in very handy when working around the house or when performing masonary tasks when you really need to keep everything square with each other.  I have recommended the Craftsman Cordless 19.2 Volt Drill to many of my friends and three of them have purchased this drill with no complaints.  The price of replacement batteries is the only downfall.  For the price of batteries you could almost purchase a new drill with batteries included.

This combo will give the DIYer all the power you need

This review is for the Craftsman Cordless 19.2v Drill/Driver.   If you are the average do-it-yourselfer, these two tools will provide you with all the power you are going to need.  For most jobs the drill will provide you will more power than you will ever need by itself.  For tougher jobs, the driver may be needed.  In fact, this set can be too powerful at times that it strips the screws, although you can minimize this by using the variable speeds - start at the lowest speed you can and keep going higher until you reach the lowest speed that does the job.  For the driver, don't force it too much and just let the tool do the work.  The 19.2 volt batteries stay charged for awhile for the first hundred uses or so and then start to decline rapidly.  Better yet, use the new lithium batteries they just came out with.  While they are expensive, they last so much longer and far surpass the regular ones.  Overall you will be very pleased with this set.
