Overall, this Craftsman Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum was a great purchase for us and works great, too! We got this on a really good sale at Home Depot. It's probably a larger, and more powerful, model than what we needed and we intending to buy, but it was such a good price, and because we like Craftsman products we decided to get it. It works great at both wet and dry vacuuming - it does exactly what it says and does it well! The suction is great! It comes apart and you can put it back together easily. Overall the design and materials are study. Depending on what you use it for, it may be a little bit bulky, and it will also take up a good bit of storage space. I would recommend it for people who have a garage or large storage shed or workshop, or some another space for it. I would also recommend having an extension cord around when you use it, it's cord is kind of short so you are most likely going to need that extension cord!

This is the only wet/dry vac that I've ever owned (and one of the very few that I've ever used) so the review might be biased. We bought this to be able to clean up the sawdust from the garage more easily. It works well and basically gets most of the sawdust. I wish it was a little easier to use as far as maneuverability and maybe a little more powerful suction wouldn't hurt. The vacuum is so large and bulky it's a bit tough to really move it around where you want to go. Perhaps in the larger shop, this vac would be better. But for the garage, it's mostly a nuisance and I prefer the broom. That being said, it seems like a pretty good vac and it's easy to figure out and open up to dump the dust out. Never used it for water so I can't comment on that. The blower seems really powerful to me but that rarely gets used either. Just make sure you need a vac this large before purchasing this one. Maneuverability So bulky!

I found this Vacuum on a Black Friday sale a few years ago. it has worked quite well for me, although I have found that it is bulkier than I would like. I thought that the larger canister would make cleaning easier, but I have found that it makes the vacuum itself a bit harder to use, and I rarely fill the entire canister before I finish a job anyway. So I could easily get by with something smaller. But other than the size, it has worked great for me, whether for wet or dry usage. Maneuverability The cord isn't very long, so it is difficult to maneuver without an extension cord. The large size also makes it difficult to move around in a confined shop. Design The drain near the bottom of the tank makes it easier to drain the water when using the wet function. It's a little inconvenient to remove the filter when using the wet function and then return it for dry use (the clip doesn't always hold it on tightly). But overall, it is designed well.

I have been using the craftsman 16 gallon wet/dry vaccuum for nearly 4 weeks now.  We are a full family of 4 with 2 pets. A Cat and a 75lbs. boxer.  We use this vaccuum for almost everything that needs more than just a bag or bagless vaccuum.  We happen to have bought it when our sink drain in the kitchen blew off right before we were having guests over for easter sunday dinner.  I purchased it and got it home as soon as I could.  The craftsman 16 gallon wet/dry vaccuum did exactly what I needed. It picked up what seemed like 3lbs of wet noodles that caused the whole mess and continued to clean up items under the sink that I never knew were even there.  If you are looking for an amazing machine, than this is the unit to buy.  Moderate pricing with manufacturer warrenty, easy to manuvere, moderate weight(wife uses it down the stairs), and the easiest clean up of any shop vac I have ever used. Pop the top and rinse it out. WOW.  Comes with all the attachments you could really ever use. it is also one of the least noisey that I have had. And not to mention it comes it a cool color. I think alot of companies have tried to replicate this machine but all seem to fall just short of the quality and experience that you expect from such a large name like Craftsman.  They have out done themselves this time.  I would recommend the Craftsman 16 gallon wet/dry vaccuum to all who are looking.

I bought this Craftsman 6 gallon wet/dry vac for my boyfriend for his birthday and he absolutely loves it.  It's the perfect size for all our household needs- not too big, not too small.  I even use it to clean up pesky dog hair off the hardwood floors.  It's a lifesaver!

I was introduced to this Craftsman Vacuum cleaner by one of my friends who like me is a very hands on person.  I was instantly blown away..."no pun intended".  Not only was it a very powerful Wet/Dry Vac but also has a detachable blower.  I use this all the time to clean cars and motorcycles.  The blower pushes air out at 265 mph.  I no longer use towels when drying off my cars and motorcycles....I just blow the water off.  It leaves a streak free surface and less abrasion.  Trust me you won't have to buy another any time soon.
