Craftsman 24" 179cc* Dual-Stage Snowblower

Summary

Dual-Stage Snowblower Clears Snow in Record Time

It's time to retire your old snow shovel and start clearing the icy masses from your driveway and walkways with a Craftsman 24'' snowblower. This lightweight blower has a strong and effective four-cycle, 179cc OHV engine that blows snow out of your way in minutes, meaning you spend much less time on the task than when you use a shovel for the job. The modern design includes an easy push-button electric starting system that gets the blower revving whenever you need it, even in subzero weather. And unlike older snow blowers, there's no need to mix gas and oil to get the machine started.

The Dual-Stage Snowblower has an oversized 24-inch clearing width that gets the job done fast, even when you're clearing snow from large driveways, big yards or decks. To remove heavy, wet snow, sludge or ice, power up the 12-inch serrated steel auger or 12-inch impeller to break up the icy, impacted blocks and blow them out of your way. With eight different speeds, six forward and two backward, you can easily adjust the thrower to clear light to heavy snow buildup from all areas of your landscape.

Craftsman 24" 179cc's a great snowblower

Craftsman 24" 179cc* Dual-Stage Snowblower has been a great unit for our home. It's heavy duty enough for big snows yet can also handle little nuisance inches as well. It clears down to the pavement even with ice and throws the snow far enough that it lands in the grass even with our wide driveway. Plus it's small enough to be able to handle a narrow sidewalk. We haven't had any issues with this snowblower and it requires little or no maintenance at all. The only con in my book is that it tends to make my hands numb with the vibrations though my husband said that's because I squeeze the handles too tightly. This is a heavy duty thrower that is light enough that a small woman like myself can do the job. It's easy to start and not too technical for a beginner to operate.

Excellent snowblower

I love shoveling snow, I know that's a little strange but it makes me feel like I'm little again. However after my scoliosis surgery I wasn't able to do the shoveling anymore and my husband was doing all of it which I felt bad about. So for his birthday I picked out this snowblower which was a little pricey, but with the performance it gave compared to old snowblowers and shoveling, it was okay to spend a little more than I planned. Not too long ago here on Long Island we were hit with a horrific snowstorm and had 32 inches where it was almost impossible to do anything. Because this starts up with a push of a button instead of worrying about gas to get it running, he got right to it. I've never seen a snowblower with such a wide suction area that cleaned up the snow faster than anyone else's. It also sucks in slush and ice and chops it through and shoots it out of your way. It's powerful, fast, and a great idea to try out if you live in a snowy area like myself. Great product.

Works Okay

We were given this snowblower after it had sat in a garage new and unused for two years. We were excited to use it because we get a lot of snow where we live but it wouldn't start up. After getting the carborator fixed it worked fine, but it was annoying that it never had been used but needed repairs. The one major complaint we have is that it doesn't have an electric start. It's hard to pull the cord when it's so cold to get it started. It's also a little on the heavy side, but not too bad. I am petite and can maneuver it around without too much effort. The blade seems to rotate slower than other blowers we've seen so it takes longer to clear the driveway and sidewalks than other blowers we've seen. It works well with all types of snow from the wet, heavy snow to the light, powdery snow. It has a harder time if the snow is more than eight inches or so, but can still handle deeper snow. Overall it gets the job done easier than shoveling!

Powerful Snowblower that Gets the Job Done

5

I was super lucky when I bought this Craftsman Snowblower. I bought it from a house sale where the people where moving and could not take it with them, they had never even used it and sold it to me for 35.00!!!! Well I could not resist that price so I bought it and had my husband come pick it up for me. It has been a life saver, especially last winter when the snow was never ending. It blows snow out of your way in minutes, meaning you spend much less time on the task than when you use a shovel for the job. It has a push-button electric start that gets the blower going and it has a 24-inch clearing width that gets the snow out of your way fast even in large spaces such as large driveways, big yards or decks. It has an auger that can break up ice as well. It has eight different speeds. You can adjust the thrower as well. You can adjust the direction of the chute the snow comes out of from the seat. I recommend this snowblower to anyone looking for a powerful machine.
