I own about a half-dozen different brands of utility knives and this Craftsman set it by far the best brand I have. I hate having to replace the blades on a utility knives and it seems some knives should come with an instruction manual to replace. These knives are very easy to replace and seem to stay sharp longer than other brands. I've used these on every type of project, from cutting carpet and linoleum to cutting boxes. They are made out of stainless steel so they won't rust or corrode. I know this for a fact because I accidentally left the larger knife out in the winter elements for a couple of days and was surprised that it didn't have any rust on it when I finally found it. I buy the Craftsman blade online because as I said before the Craftsman blades do stay sharper longer than other brand of blades I have purchase. They stay locked and I haven't had any problems with them slipping like other utility knives have done. I highly recommend these if you're looking for quality utility knives.

The Craftsman 2 piece lock back utility knife set was the perfect holiday gift this season. Sure they make a great stocking stuffer, but they are also amazingly functional and came in handy when opening other gifts this past Christmas morning. On both utility knives, the blade easily locks into place. I have not had an issue with it slipping or thinking that it locked when it isn't. The handles are ergonomically comfortable and the no slip black grip is an amazing additional touch that not all utility knives come with. Since I have the set, I am able to keep the smaller of the utility knives in my car for just in case of emergencies, but the large one has become my everyday utility knife. When I need a knife in tight situations, the smaller of the two utility knives is the perfect tool. The blade has continued to stay sharp and they show no sign of rust or deterioration.

I am very glad my dad decided to give a ton of his Craftsman tool as a hand-me-down! He gave me this knife set which features a larger utility knife and then a smaller one. I use the bigger of the two knives for opening up boxes or items around the house [hard to open bags, packaging on items I purchased, etc]. It does not get a ton of use, but it works very well for my needs. The handle is solid and the blades are easy to replace. The smaller one can be placed on a key chain or tossed into your glove box [that is where I keep mine]. I find the little knife just as good of quality as the larger one but I have a problem finding the small blades! The larger of the two just take normal blade but the small one takes mini ones which are really hard to find where I live. You can order the mini blades online but in some states there are restrictions so you can't. Overall, I do recommend this knife set. Great quality and really long lasting.
