A couple of years ago a nasty storm rolled in... sadly my Bradford Pear trees were destroyed. What was left, however, was a substantial part of a large pear tree in my swimming pool, and another tree in my neighbors yard. I purchased the Craftsman 16" electric chain saw, model #358.34117 for this rather daunting job. It is relatively lightweight, and feels well balanced. The power is more than adequate for whatever I have thrown its way. I can attest to the durability and aggressive cutting action of this little monster... it works great. I was able to make my way through even the toughest, largest sections with ease. I just basically took my time and let the chainsaw do the work. Within two days the trees were completely cleared away and since then this chainsaw has worked great on big or small jobs alike. Adjusting the chain tension is easy and I have never had the chain slip off. It goes through lots of bar oil, so have it on hand... you do not want to operate the saw without oil. Other than that I have no complaints.
