This 1-Horsepower 14-inch Band Saw Has Some Serious Kick
With its 1 HP dual 120/240 voltage motor and nearly 100-inch blade length, this Craftsman 14-inch band saw can tackle any serious cutting job. Built on a large, sturdy cast-iron base, this machine offers stability and flexibility with its 45-degree tilting table. For even more control, the band saw offers two blade speeds ‒ one for cutting wood and one for other non-ferrous materials ‒ turning it into a multi-purpose tool.
Heavy-duty jobs are no task at all for the 14-inch band saw, owing to its versatility. Most importantly, it has the extra details that make a band saw user-friendly, like two dust collection ports in two different sizes, a 7-foot power cord, upper and lower guards and straightforward owner assembly. As an added bonus, the saw has an 8-inch resaw capacity and ball bearing guides to help reduce friction and lengthen blade life. Backed by a Craftsman One Year Limited Warranty, you can feel confident about your purchase.

Comments about Craftsman 14-Inch Band Saw:
I have owned this band saw for about two years now and have been very happy with its performance and design. I was actually going to purchase a Rikon band saw and changed my mind because of the price difference. A Rikon saw is almost twice as much as this Craftsman band saw and although I found it to be a nice band saw, I don't think it's worth the extra price. I purchased this because I was going into woodworking, which never took off. I have kept it to do different projects around the house and have found it to be an excellent band saw. It was very easy to put together, and the manual was simple to follow. The frame is large and well made, and the legs are made of cast iron so it's made to last a lifetime. Also, it has two different speeds, and works better and cuts wood faster than my jigsaw. It's actually more powerful than I thought it would be for this type of saw as it has 1 horsepower which I thought would mean it would be slow. I love this Craftsman saw and recommend it to anyone in the market for a modestly priced band saw.
