Using loose powder cover up is typically messy, regardless of what brand you use. However, due to the way Cover Girl covers the holes with a hard to remove sticker, it makes a mess as soon as you open it. Also, it is hard to get the powder out and onto the make up pad the way you are supposed to (by applying the pad to the holes and shaking the powder out onto it). I have to shake the powder into the lid and use it that way. If you shake out more powder than you need (which is every time) the powder is wasted because you cannot put it back into the container. If you allow the powder to just set on top of the container it will cause a powder mess the next time you open it. Also, the make up pad starts to come apart after only a couple of weeks use. It is very hard to use this powder without getting it onto your clothes. It is important that you have a towel over your clothes if you are applying make up while already being dresses.

I was very happy with this product. I was trying it out with different application brushes, at first I used the powder puff that came in the packaging, but it made me look very cakey because it held so much product. I actually used a brush opposed to what they gave me, because I think the brush is a lot better for truly sweeping the product across your face without overpowering your face. It was a very good product, but I really recommend using a brush.

When i wear any type of face makeup, weather its a concealer or just loose powder i have a problem with it sitting on top of my skin. and with this product its no different, it dosnt look like my skin is skin it just looks like powder on my face, it does work okay though if you use a very very little it barley even tought the brush to it and put it on your face.

I love this stuff. It is a nice light powder that reduces the shine when you need it. If you are looking for a heavier powder this is not the way to go, but if you want a translucent coverage this is it.

I am an African American Female and I love CoverGirl Products! They are economical and of good quality.  I use their loose powder to set my liquid foundation when I do wear it.  I sing with my praise team and we can get really heated and hot under the lights, one day one of the members looked over at me and she was all sweaty, makeup was running and she said, "what kind of makeup are you using that it doesn't run and you still look good?"  I smiled and said, 'COVERGIRL!!!" so Yeah for covergirl makeup! What I also love about them the most is that they have my shade! I am of a darker complexion and sometimes it's hard to find drugstore matches.  Covergirl has never let me down... when I can find stores that carries all the shades.  That appears to be my only complaint;  The darker shades are not carried everywhere and I find that to be a problem that I have to know what stores actually carry the entire line.  It's a major jackpot when I find the Queen Latifah line! But other than that.. if you haven't tried covergirl.. give them a go...your worth it!

I have been wearing Cover Girl Loose Powder for years and years, since I started wearing makeup. I really do like it. It goes on well, doesn't make me look chalky, and its super cheap. I wear a really good quality department store brand foundation, and I put this powder on top of it. I think because I wear a good foundation, the powder preforms better for me than it did when I wore cheap drugstore foundation. This powder looks very natual, and the puff that comes with it for application is perfectly adequate. I wear this powder on every day that I do not work. When I work, in a very hot and fast paced restautant environment, I use a more expensive pressed powder. This power does seem to wear off fairly quickly in hot environments and leaves my nose and forehead looking quite shiny. But, on a daily basis, this is great because it is so light and does not clog my pores or make me more prone to breakouts. With a fuller coverage, long lasting pressed powder, you have to be sure to take it all off at the end of the day or wake up with bad skin. This powder is so light that it doesn't seem to cause the same problems. I recommend this for a natual look on days that your makeup isn't required to stay perfect and fresh for 10+ hours at a time.

Cover Girl makes very high quality products for not a high price. This is why I love the loose powder so much. I use Aveda tinted moisturizer but I always put Cover Girl loose powder on top. They have lots of shades to fit any complexion (which is nice because I have very fair skin) and the price is right to fit my budget! One of the other great qualities about this product is that it does not make my face shiny! It lasts all day long and keeps my face radiant (but not shiny!) The powder has a nice smell to it, not too strong at all. It applies extremely easy and goes on evenly. Also, the product lasts a long time. I only have to purchase it a couple of times per year. I appreciate this as I do not have a ton of money to spend on cosmetics! Cover Girl is a brand that has been around a long time and is a brand you can trust. For the money, Cover Girl has my business! I definitely recommend this powder!

The covergirl loose powder is great to apply after foundation to reduce shine.  It is also great for if you do not have time to apply foundation to just throw that on and it gives your face a matte finish and covers some imperfections.  It does not have a bad scent and it is not a strong scent.  It comes in a few different shades so you can find the one that is perfect for your skin tone. The container lasts for a long time because you do not need to use a lot. On top of that it is not very expensive and there are almost always coupons for covergirl products.  This is a great product for girls that love to look great but don't have a lot of money to spend. I like how light this powder goes on and stays on.  It almost feels like there is no makeup on. It also has a natural look that I really love.  I like to look like natural and this helps me achieve that look with an easy inexpensive way.

It is the loose powder by covergirl. ** **I do buy this product off and on.I like how when I can't find certain powders, I can almost always find this one. It can be found at drug stores, department stores and grocery stores, so it is very convienent. I do like the fact the have multiple shades. I am happy with the thickness of it. I Iike the way it feels on my face, it is not very heavy and still covers well. I do have on and off acne issues and want full coverage otherwise I am uncomfortable. It seems to last a good amount of time on my face and doesnt make me shiny.** **The only thing I would complain about with this product is that they keep up"ing the price on it, it seems. Maybe that's just covergirl period lately. They are going up in proices for all products now that top model and celebrities like rihanna and drew barrymore advertise with them. anyways. that and the fact this perticular product does have a strong scent. So when you go to put it on, you need to hold your breath. They say breathing all that in is really bad for you, this one is the strongest smell of all powders I have ever tried ever.
