Cover Girl and Olay Simply Ageless Foundation — 

I was extremely disappointed with Cover Girl's new CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation!  I, like so many others I'm sure, saw the Cover Girl Ad on television with Ellen DeGeneris (who is, I guess, around 50 years old) and looked really good with the makeup she was wearing.  As a result of this ad, I tried the product.  I'm 59 years old and have (I'm told) really nice skin for my age (some lines and wrinkles, naturally), but this product - Cover Girl's new CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation - though gives excellent coverage, made my lines and wrinkles look worse (it is not a lightweight product by any means - makes you wonder how much airbrushing ad makers do - no offense meant to Ellen).  It was my 59th birthday and my youngest daughter and I stopped at Bloomingdales to pick up some products because my daughter loves Giorgio Armani and I let the makeup artist give me a mini makeover which was fantastic.  He told me I looked much older than my age wearing this Cover Girl product and he was right.  When I looked in the mirror in a brightly lit store, I was mortified at how old I looked and how my lines and wrinkles stood out.  Sorry, Cover Girl, I like a lot of your products, but this one needs to be used by someone with much younger skin and that's not how it's being advertised.

I agree with bjgmum. I am 60 years old and I find it didn`t do what I expected. I myself will not buy it again.

I am sorry if you took my comments as an insult. You posted that you are 59 and have "(some lines and wrinkles naturally)" not fine lines and wrinkles. As with any product, it works for some and not for others. Myself and many of my customers do not find it a heavy product, just the opposite.

Comments on here are not posted to just you, but to the public reading the posts. That is just what the complete last paragraph was...a general statement to the public. Again, sorry if that offended you.

I wasn't expecting miracles; nor was I expecting deep set wrinkles to disappear. Your comments were inappropriate & insulting. If you'd have read my comments properly, you'd realize I was saying the Cover Girl product accentuated my fine lines & wrinkles. The mini makeover products did not do that at all. Cover Girl was too heavy. You don't have to be in the beauty industry to know what looks good or works well.

This product is not intented for those already with deep set wrinkles and lines. You also have to take into consideration that your mini make over artist was trying to get you to buy their products.

I am 41, with lines and wrinkles just starting to show. This product so far has been great. I have been using it for about a week, and other than the application pad, I really like it.

I work in the beauty industry, and try many different products as part of my job. So far this one I like, and I find works good for me and my customers that don't expect deep set wrinkles to disappear. I always try to let my customers know that miracles will not happen, time and proper care will help, but nothing but a surgeon will get rid of those wrinkles.
