When this product came out I was very skeptical that this that this product would live up to its claims. I have always had a hard time finding that perfect match in foundation or powder. Either I end up with a shade that is too dark or end up too light, when all I needed was something in the middle. In the coupon section of the Sunday paper I saw and advertisement for this product with a 1 dollar off coupon, and after going to the Cover Girl website and seeing that they where offering a 30 day money back guarantee I went ahead and took the plunge, I figured with a 30 day money back guarantee what have I got to lose.
This product blends with your natural skin tone and it looks like you not wearing foundation at all. It has a creamy texture to it, and has a slight powdery feel to it. Using the closer matching chart on the cover girl web site you're able to choose the shade that is right for you. The foundation blends with your natural skin tone so it looks like your not wearing any foundation at all.
Tru Blend foundation comes in two form liquid and whip. I started off at first using the liquid foundation. Since I use a foundation brush, I just applied a little bit to the end of the brush dot my face and blend. Amazingly the foundation blended in with my natural skin tone, and no unsightly makeup lines.
A few years ago when Tru Blend whip foundation came out I switched from the liquid foundation to the whip foundation. My biggest concern was that the whipped foundation would be too thick, but what I found was that there is very little difference between the liquid foundation and the whipped foundation. There was one advantage that I have found with the whip foundation vs the liquid, since I use a foundation brush to apply my foundation, with the whip it is a lot easier to determine how much foundation goes on the brush.
The only thing left to complete the perfect look is Trublend's loose powder. It does on smooth and is the last thing that you need to complete that make up line free look. As with the foundation I have been very impressed with the performance of the loose powder. The only complaint that I have about the loose powder is how easily the top cracks and breaks off. It seems that after a month and a half of use the top starts cracking and breaking off, which is the only problem that I have found with this product.
