One of the most toxic mascaras on the market

I do not recommend Cover Girl Professional Super Thick Lash Mascara for one simple reason, it is highly toxic. I did not think much of it when it irritated my eyes, but then decided to go to Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database to see how it rates on the toxicity scale with other mascaras. Turned out it was an 8 out of 10, compared to most other mascaras that range 2-5, and that is not even anything considered 'natural' or 'organic', mascaras priced less than this one had a much better rating on the ingredients.

As for how it actually functions, it isn't bad, but I would not say it is "super thick... review »

I love Cover Girl products and have been so happy with my Cover Girl Professional Super Thick Lash mascara - it is truly one of the best I have tried outside of department stores. My favorite had been the Clinque Thick Lash Mascara but Cover Girl performs just as well for a fraction of the cost. This mascara stays where you put it without clumping. I wear soft lens contacts and was not at all bothered by this mascara (though I know any mascara can bother some people's eyes so don't take my word for it).

I have tried many, many mascaras over the years, but I must admit, non has done a better job of seperating the lashes, and covering each and every lash from end to end, than cover girl super thick lash. It always has just the right amount of mascara on the wand every time I remove the wand from the casing.. and it goes on smoothly and without clumping, and doesn't smear with time. My lashes look thicker and longer when I use this Cover Girl mascara, and is easially removed. I usually use regular mascara remover, however, I have had to use soap and water at times, and it comes off easy...
