After falling head over heels in love with CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation, I decided to give an old enemy of mine another try. CoverGirl. Her and I go way back. Way, way back. I decided to stop using CoverGirl products because every time I did, I ended up with breakouts on my skin.
When I ran across CoverGirl Exact EyeLights Mascara in Black Gold, I was intrigued. CoverGirl recently impressed me with their newest foundation, so perhaps their newest mascara line would impress me as well.
I purchased Black Gold, which is designed for those with hazel eyes.
That is the interesting thing about the new Exact EyeLights Mascara. They have a color that is made with your eye color in mind. There are colors for those with blue eyes, green eyes, brown eyes, and hazel eyes.
My eyes change color, so I pretty much had my pick of the entire litter. Black Gold though interested me the most. I imagined the mascara would have a base color of black, and a nice shimmery glittery effect of golden hues.
Unfortunately though when I got to using it, I was disappointed to see that the color was nothing but plain and simple black. I did not see any golden tones, I did not see any improvements in my eye color. Heck the stuff didn't even make my lashes look bigger, or volumized.
As far as I was concerned I wasted $6.79 on it, and will be returning it as soon as I get back to Target.
Final Recommendation:
Skip out on this ladies. The packaging is very enticing, but trust me this stuff is garbage in an overpriced plastic tube!
