Covenant Community Church in Birmingham, Alabama is the best spiritual home I have found. It feels like family. It is inclusive of race, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, physical and/or mental ability or differences, etc. It used to be affiliated with MCC but is not anymore. It is interdenominational, or "independent," but is affiliated with a church in Huntsville, AL; one in Atlanta, GA; and one in Pensacola, FL. The pastor does truly teach and preach about the love of God, but does not burden people with the guilt that many religions and churches overdo. Sin exists but condemnation is not of God.
