The Marriott Courtyard in Poughkeepsie a was very comfortable and friendly place to relax after a long day of business meetings. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, and the sitting area with a comfortable sofa was the perfect place to put up your feet, turn on the TV and RELAX. There are a number of good restaurants within walking distance so there is really no need to get back into the car and drive. I was very pleased with the room and surroundings. Staff were great. The only complaint I have is the inability to access the road (rte 9) to the north or the entrance to the hotel from the south. You have to drive a couple of blocks away to turn around. I also wish amenities such as lotion, shower caps, etc. were included - especially with the limit on liquids that can be brought in the air. This courtyard met every expectation of a Marriott. Plenty of space in the room, staff very accommodating and room very clean. I ONLY STAYED ONE NIGHT AT THIS HOTEL AND DID NOT USE THE FACILITIES. I DID SEE THEM AND WAS IMPRESSED. THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL- I NEEDED DIRECTIONS.
