Nature is what Costa Rica is all about and adventurously fun vacations is what travel there is all about.

You can do more kinds of adrenaline rushing backcountry adventure treks in Costa Rica than in just about any other country you can name, and the country is small enough that nothing is further than a few hours away.

There's spectacular volcanoes and rugged mountain peaks just begging for some climbing, or backcountry hiking. Some of these mountains give birth to wild raging streams that beg for a kayak or whitewater rafting adventure.

There's miles and miles of rugged Pacific coast shoreline where surfers need look no further than the nearest wave for a perfect ride, and there's softer, gentler turqoise waters on the Caribbean side of the country. In between the shores lie dense jungles where jaguars prowl and the call of brilliantly colored parrots wakes you up each morning.

Costa Rica teems with life, and if you like "getting back to nature", you'll LOVE Costa Rica!
