budget conscious traveler
I have been granted a disability retirement from my company of 37 years and looked forward to our first cruise for my wife and me. After a long process of elimination, we chose the Italian liner Costa and the ship called Fortuna on a cruise dated 24 Feb. 08. Mainly because we are Italian and the ship is Italian, we wanted to keep our roots and heritage. — I booked it with interval travel, which is associated with Tahiti Village. love to travel
We just got back from the western carribean cruise on the Costa Fortuna. It will be the last Costa cruise that I will ever go on. The ship was clean but two days into the cruise, the wife got food poisoning. We contacted the front desk and they would not accept any possibility that it was food poisoning. They told me to see the doctor ($79.00) it was the fault of the ship because we had not stopped at any port yet. They didn't care at all. They got rude with me and asked me if I was a doctor.
