Costa Cruises - Fortuna Eastern Caribbean Review

We just got back from the western carribean cruise on the Costa Fortuna. It will be the last Costa cruise that I will ever go on. The ship was clean but two days into the cruise, the wife got food poisoning. We contacted the front desk and they would not accept any possibility that it was food poisoning. They told me to see the doctor ($79.00) it was the fault of the ship because we had not stopped at any port yet. They didn't care at all. They got rude with me and asked me if I was a doctor. I'm not but I know food poisoning.

The entertainment wasn't very good and the food wasn't up to par with other cruises that I have taken.

The wait staff was good but they put us on the early seating instead of the requested late. They fixed it the next night but after we had settled in at the table, they made us move again. It was an embarrasment.

I would avoid this cruise. Carnival is the mother to Costa but the two are as different as night and day. Carnival is much better.
