Cosco Scenera Review Summary

Need an inexpensive convertible car seat? Available for just under $50, the Cosco Scenera Convertible Car Seat is considered by reviewers as the “best seat you will find in this price range.” With a rear-facing weight limit of 35 pounds, parents enjoy being able to keep baby in this safe position longer. In addition to the Cosco Scenera has four harness positions, which adjust (with some effort) to grow with baby. The Consco Scenera is a larger car seat, especially while rear-facing. Parents feel this is beneficial to “give [baby] more leg room rear-facing.” This larger size does pose a problem though for our mini-van driving parents who report difficult installation of the Cosco Scenera due to the size of the base. This carseat passed the ultimate test. We were in a serious accident a few months ago. My youngest daughter was in this seat, while my oldest was in a britax. When properly installed, almost all carseats are incredibly safe. This carseat... HANDS DOWN worth more than what it's priced at in stores. While... review »

My husband bought this car seat for one of our vehicles. We hated it instantly. The base on this thing is huge. It's also hard to install since it's so tall. It doesn't easily fit in any of our 4 vehicles. The base makes it really tall. Not good in our trucks or my car. Rear facing and forward facing...

Our family travels quite frequently, by air, as our family lives out of state and too far to drive.  I have a regular car seat that I use in our mini van on a daily basis, but needed a car seat for my older toddler that I could use in rental cars while traveling.  It needed to be easy to install, inexpensive, cute (of course she is a girl), and have a carrying case.  It needed to be light weight to carry it from parking to check-in and then back out to the rental car.  During my shopping I found the Cosco Scenera Car Seat available at Wal-Mart for $43.74. Since it is $10.00 a day to rent a...

The Costco Scener Car Seat kept oue son safe and secure in an accident. The straps are difficult to adjust while the seat is strapped in though.

I purchased a Cosco Scenera convertable car seat yesterday at my local Walmart store. I have my granddaughter every weekend, and I got tired of borrowing or trading her other car seat back and forth, and decided to get one to keep in my car.  I checked several stores, Target, wallmart, babys r us, ect. but ended up with this one for the following reasons;

1. It is cute! I took my 2 year old granddaughter shopping with me, and when she saw this one, she tried to get out of the cart and climb into it! When I tried to look at other ones, she wined and kept trying to get back to this one. The kid...

When my twin girls outgrew their infant seats at 15 months I was BUMMED.  I was hoping to rear-face them for much longer before investing in a forward-facing Britax Frontier (which can be used be used until 80 pounds with the harness, then 100 pounds as a booster).  I bought the Cosco Scerena because I couldn't justify spending the money on a Britax convertable seat , then on a forward-facing seat/booster combo, and a carseat expert told me the frame was very similar to a Britax convertable, just with a less cushie seat.  They have tons of room to grow in the Cosco Scerena, and I should be able...

The Cosco Scenera car seat is the best value and while being safe. I have bought a total of 4 of these seats. Buying one and writing a good review is nice and all but I think the fact that I kept going back to buty more speaks volumes. Each set of grandparents have one as well as both myself and my husband. The reason we were able to have so many and not have to worry about moving them from car to car is that they were only $40 which 4 of these seats is still cheaper than 1 of some of the other brands! The seat is just as sturdy and safe as some of the other seats that go for hundredsd of dollars!...

This seat is the only carseat I've used for all 4 of my children. The padding is indeed minimal, but the carseat itself isn't too wide which makes it great for space issues. The rear facing weight limit on this seat is actually higher than the very expensive Britax carseats. The seat itself doesn't have a high weight limit, however. Regardless, they're cute (I have two black and one pink) and inexpensive and work perfectly and are easy to use. I was unexpectedly expecting twins, and was driving a two door car, these seats fit just fine in the back with a booster for my oldest and they weren't too...

This car seat was a great value for what i paid it comes in many patterns. My Niece loves it so much more than she did when we would put her in her sisters car seat with a brace bar in the front. I love their eco friendly packaging. Makes a nice place to store the car seat when we have to take it out of her Mom and dad's van. Comfortable for kids to ride in. Several belt positions for growing kids. So they are not out growing it as the are growing into it. Easy to put in and get it right so you don't have to worry if improperly put in. Very good car seat I am buying another one for the middle niece...

I got a great infant seat at my baby shower but when the little monster outgrew it I had to find a new one. I like the way it looks, I can adjust the straps even while he is sitting in the seat. It is easy to switch from one car to another, strap him in and everything. It is affordable and easy to use - I reccomended it to a set of grandparents in wal*mart and happened to run into them again and they thanked me for suggesting such a great carseat for their grandchild. The only kick back is that I never saw a pink one so it is kinda boyish but I still would use it none the less.

I bought this car seat because my daughter said the old one was uncomfy.  She loves the new one with the cup holder and the straps have covers so when she does not have a jacket on the straps do not rub on her shoulders.  She loves the fact that it matches mommys car interior.  It fits well beside her sisters infant seat and is made to grow with her.  The size of child that can fit in this car seat makes it easy to have for years to come as it will grow with her.  The cover is not easy to get off.

I bought this car seat for my son when he was born 5 years ago. It still looks brand new. It was affordable, easy to clean, suitable for him when he was a baby and changed for him when he became a toddler. He was easy to get in and out of. it layed down for him when he was sleeping. It stayed in one place in the car. There was no cons. I absolutely loved it. I have told ever one about it. I even bought one for my friend. You can take the cover off and wash it in the washing machine. It has a cup holder. I bought it at Toys R Us. You can buy it anywhere. That is a good thing about it. You can find...

I shopped around for quite awhile when my son was about to outgrow his infant car seat...  At first I was looking at all those really expensive car seats thinking they would be better, but then when I went to the stores to compare them, they didn't seem any better than the Cosco car seat!  I expected the expensive ones to be softer, more padding or something, but they weren't.  The Cosco car seat looked safe to me, and I liked that it had a cup holder on it, which will come in handy later when my son is a little older.  It is rear facing up to 1 year and 20 pounds, and then can be front facing,...

When we were shopping for carseats, we spoke with carseat technicians about which carseats might be the best for us in our situation.
We had an infant at the time and we wanted a safe carseat that would last her a while.
We knew we needed a convertible one that could face both forwards and backwards.
Because we are a family of five on a one-income budget, we did not have the money to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on a new carseat.
So, the Cosco Scenera was recommended to us by carseat experts. It is convertible and has a weight limit of 34 pounds for rear-facing children. This was great...

I got this seat for my daughter, because it is an afforable seat, and it rear faces up until thirty five pounds. Since being safe is a very important thing for me, I know and realize that using rear facing seats as long as you is very, very important. Anyway, I paid about $50 for this seat, which is very affordable. When I got this seat, we didn't have a lot of money, and when I realized that (at the time) Cosco Scenera's rear faced longer than even the Britax does, I realized that this would be a good seat for us, provided it fit in our car well. It does! I have used it with a seatbelt, a seatbelt...

When my twins were about a year old, and almost 20 pounds, we decided it was about time to get them new carseats. I was putting off the task because I didn't know which carseats were supposed to be good. I was happy with the Graco ones that we had for them as infants, and was looking into buying another one of those. After walking around numerous stores and comparing the prices and brands, I found that Cosco was by far the cheapest. It seemed kind of crazy to me to shell out $20-40 more per carseat for something they'd outgrow in who knows how long. The Cosco carseats definitely seemed like the...
