Cosco Scenera —

This seat is the only carseat I've used for all 4 of my children. The padding is indeed minimal, but the carseat itself isn't too wide which makes it great for space issues. The rear facing weight limit on this seat is actually higher than the very expensive Britax carseats. The seat itself doesn't have a high weight limit, however. Regardless, they're cute (I have two black and one pink) and inexpensive and work perfectly and are easy to use. I was unexpectedly expecting twins, and was driving a two door car, these seats fit just fine in the back with a booster for my oldest and they weren't too squished. When we eventually moved them to the van, it was a bit of a squeeze to get them in rear facing and I could see how it would be an issue for small infants but we were extended rear facing at this point so they were older. This isn't a convertable for newborns or small babies, this is a seat to move into after a baby bucket.
