The Cosco Pronto Belt-Positioning Booster Car Seat works for children ages 5 and up. They have to be x amount of pounds and x inches tall, and the strap has to go across their chest, not their neck, but this car seat is for the 5 to 9 year old in your life. This one was used by my second child. She loves the cup holders on each side, and now that she is old enough to go without the back on it, she loves the way she feels taller, without the trapped feeling the belt sometimes gave her when it was locked over her shoulder. She absolutely loves the big kid feeling that her Cosco Pronto Belt-Positioning Booster Car Seat gives her. And I love the fact that it keeps her safe and in her seat. Of all the times I have had to stop suddenly, or even slowly, she not once flings forward because this carseat allows for the belt to be adjusted properly over her, to keep her in place. And even when it is just a backless booster as the last stage of this becomes, it still is designed to keep them in their seats with the lap belt stuck through it as it is supposed to be. It raises them up just high enough that the lap belt portion of the Cosco Pronto Belt-Positioning Booster Car Seat can fit snugly at their waist like it is supposed to, to keep them safe and sound. And best of all, once they reach 4ft 9 in, they can sit in just the Booster piece without the need for the backing, and this car seat allows it to come apart like that, so they can have just the booster at that point. It is so easy to install. All you need to do is pass the seat belt strap through the loop and then pull it down over their shoulder, and make sure the lap belt is on their lap. And the booster portion is great for plane rides, too as they just need to carry it with them and sit on it, strapped in. But the backing part isn't too good for planes as there is no shoulder strap to hold them in with. It's so simple to switch between cars, too. Just take the strap out of the loop and remove the car seat and put it in a new one.

This is a great car seat for children 2 years old and up. One thing I really like about this seat is that it helps to keep the child's head up while their sleeping. It's sturdy but lightweight. The padding can easily be removed for cleaning. The padding isn't not cheap and flimsy. The seat fits well in most vehicles. Cosco made the shape of the seat just right. Strapping the seat belt across the child is super easy. Unless you have a tall pre-basketball player on your hands your child will fit into this car seat for many years. This is a great buy for a great price. I will stick with this brand for many years to come. Ease of Installation The car seat comes not assembled in a box. There are is an instruction sheet that is confusing to read and try to follow. It's best to just look at the pieces and try to figure it out. The pieces fit each other well and should take you less than 5 minutes to fit together. Child's Comfort My daughter has been on many long trips and has not complained about the car seat. Support and Safety The seat is the perfect size for most cars and strapping the child into a seat belt is super easy using this car seat. Ease of Use It's light weight so it's easy to carry if you aren't leaving it in a vehicle. It fits more cars very well. This is one of the best fitting car seats that I have used Design The shape of the seat is almost perfect. The seat comes with one cup holder/drawer but really it needs two cup holder/drawers. It is suitable for your child's safety needs. Durability My daughter has hopped up and down on it when I had the chair in the house. I heard a crack. It had come apart but after I put it back together all pieces fit firmly together.

I have the Cosco Juvenile Pronto Belt-Positioning Booster Car Seat and a Graco booster car seat and my kids always fight over the Graco car seat. They say that the Cosco seat is hard and uncomfortable and never want to sit in it. But for someone who doesn't have to sit in the car seat, it serves it's purpose, which is keeping my kids safe. You can adjust the height of the seat back to position the shoulder strap of the seatbelt in the proper spot. Also, when they outgrow the car seat, you can remove the back and turn it into a booster seat, which is really convenient. The cover is easy to remove and you can just throw it into the washer on the gentle cycle to clean. It is also easy to put the cover back onto the seat. The cover is also very attractive and has a simple design. If they still sold the Graco booster car seat, then I would have purchased another one. The Cosco seat was a good price, I just wish that it was more comfortable for my kids.

My son recently hit the weight and age limit at which it was appropriate for him to move out of his full fledged car seat and into a "big boy" seat. I struggled with this as his safety is my priority, however, we were unable to buckle his car seat due to his size and so we got him a Cosco belt positioning booster seat to try out. As far as booster seats go, it was relatively inexpensive. However, it doesn't skimp on safety. My son loves it because he can secure the buckle himself. Also, he has his own cup holder, which is super exciting for my little guy. While the seat doesn't secure to the car in any real way, beyond the seatbelt, it stays firmly on the seat. The two armrests make it comfy for him, and the sleek design is rather attractive. My complaint is security, in terms of having the seat attatched to the seat of the car in any way. While it seems secure and we have been through several long trips, I would like to see a bit more security in that respect.

This booster seat I have personally seen in action,  my son had one in is car for his four year old daughter.  He and his wife was in an auto accident, they were hit by someone on the passengers side and was turned around and hit on the driver's frount side.  During the accident my son's seat was slung back then forward and backward again on the return backward motion the little one's foot was broken when it was trapped between the two seats.  If the booster seat was higher or lower maybe this won't have happened.

After researching a bit for a safe booster seat that would last several years, we decided on the Cosco Booster seat and feel it was money well-spent.   It's super easy to install and get in position tightly.  The option exists to remove the back and just use it as a low booster seat when they reach the appropriate height and weight, but my son opted to keep using it with the back.  We love the dual cup holders on each side that allows room for a drink and a snack (plus some!).  So we can have the seat on either side of either one of our vehicles and still be able to use the cup holder and if we don't want to use them at all - just push them in under the booster seat!  Very nice feature.  I like the neutral colors of the seat as well.   My son has always seems quite comfortable in the seat from when he first started using the chair (probably around 3 years of age) and still likes it to this day, which he is in his last few months of having to sit in a booster seat at all.  Overall, it's a pretty great and safe booster that we recommend!

I love this carseat.  It is inexpensive, and grows with your child.  My most favorite part is the ease of cleaning.  My son spilt syrup in his seat.  All I had to do was strip off the covers toss em in the wash and air dry.  And even when I don't need to strip the covers they wipe up easily and wonderfully.  I highly recommend this seat.

I went through about 4 booster seats, they were either too small or uncomfortable. The paticular booster seat im talking about is it actually has two parts. You can either use it as a backless or with the back. With the back in actually allows the shoulder belt to go over her comfortably. It doesnt choke her but it still keeps her secure in her seat. Its easy to remove from the car because it doesnt require any tricky assembly the seatbelt just goes over her shoulder. Shes only three so i havent had a chance to use it without the back

After the last 6 years of transferring car seats from one car to the other these light weight easy to adjust booster seats are my new favorite item to talk about.  I have 2 boys that are 4 & 6 my 6 year old has had his booster seat for about 8 months and that was wonderful but now that my 4 year old is has grown out of his old car seat and ready for the booster also it is the best thing in the world.  I love the dual side arm rest and cup holders, they are so convient and easy to adjust.  The seat belt positioning strap works great, I have to admit when we first got the booster seat I was thinking what is this strap really going to hold with the plastic adjuster but it holds the seat belt in place just fine even though my boys are anything but still while wearing them.  We looked at so many different booster seats before actually deciding to purchase this one and we are so happy with our selection because the price was low and the quality is high.  We recommend this product to everyone.

I have tried and currently am still using the Cosco Booster seat for my grand son. I first was attracted to the car seat by looking at the style of it, then I was really convinced once I looked at the price.  It was something that I knew would serve me properly.  I've had the car seat for 2 years now and it still serves the purpose that it was originally purchased for. It appears to be most comfortable for my grand son and he lets me know that as well. I feel that this car seat is such a tribute to booster seats and so very economical that it doesn't make sense not to purchase one if you have a toddler or a small child that is is need of a boost. Iam am expecting my second grand child this fall and am anticipating that she will be the recipient of her brothers Cosco Booster seat when it her time to rid herself of the infant seat that she will be forced to use. My advice to any parents is to try this booster seat out for yourself.
