Cosco High Rise Booster Review Summary

Once kids get older, and bigger, its time to start thinking about moving from a car seat to a booster seat. There are several varieties of booster car seats available on the market, but the Cosco High Rise Booster is considered to have good “quality for the cost.” As one of the more inexpensive booster seats available, the High Rise is convenient for “kids who ride in multiple cars throughout the day,” since it is “simple to transfer from one vehicle to another.” In comparison to similar booster seats, this Cosco booster does sit lower, so parents will want to make sure the seat belt rests properly once installed. Summed up by one reviewer the Cosco High Rise is “sleek, safe and effective, easy to use - what isn’t to love?”

We just got a new vehicle and I wanted to get my son a seat he could ride in. In our old car, we have a car seat that goes up to 65 pounds. Car seats are very expensive so I decided since he was big enough (over 40 pounds and over 40 inches) that it was time for a booster seat.

I bought the Cosco Highrise...

When my twins were ready to move up to a booster seat, I purchased two of the Cosco  high rise booster car seats.  First the booster seats are affordable I paid about $20.00 for each one on sale at Target.  The car seat was easy to assemble, and I like the ideal that I can take the covers off to...

Nice car seat - simple and convenient.  Adequate safety restraint.  I often have my grand-daughter on weekends (a toddler of one of my oldest foster sons).  It is a good seat - fits nicely in the back seat of the KIA with room on either side for other foster children to sit when we are on an outing.  Also, it is simple to transfer from one vehicle to another is we are travelling with someone else.

This product was EXACTLY what I was looking for!  I needed a booster to replace one that had been damaged, and wanted something to match the color scheme of my husband's car, but also wanted something safe and secure.  I found it in this product at an agreeable price, AND it even has neat features like a cup holder.  BRAVO!

We have two Cosco High Rise Booster Car Seats (for the 7-year-old and 5-year-old) and have used them for about a year and a half. Here are the advantages and disadvantages we have experienced with this booster seat:

Advantages:

  • Small size (This comes in really handy when you need to fit two boosters and an infant carseat in the back seat of a 2-door Cavalier--they fit...barely.)
  • Portable (It is handy to be able to switch from vehicle to vehicle--we can grab both at the same time and the kids can even carry them if we have our hands full)
  • Durable (We haven't had any major problems with these seats...

I was at my daughters house one day to pick her and my grandsons up to bring them over to my house to visit for the afternoon.  My daughter's husband had forgotten to take my toddler grandsons booster seat out of the car before he went to work. I needed to find a safe, reasonably priced booster seat and fast!

I found the Cosco High Rise Booster Seat at the Big Lots store down the street. They had it priced at $12.99. I had to check with the store manager to make sure it wasn't mismarked, it was such a Great Deal!

I made sure that my grandson was within the weight and height requirements for...

I tried this car seat for my  four year old nephew a few months ago and I hated it.  It didnt seem very safe or secure to me. He ways almost fifty pounds and the seat belt still doesnt fit him just right.  Our laws indicate that kids must have these seats for their safety but I honestly feel like he would have been more safe and secure in just a seatbelt.  Maybe its just me but the car seat didnt seem like it served any kind of purpose.  I know it wasnt the fact that he was to big or to small for the car seat so why didnt it look secure enough?  I know these laws are set for a very good reason,... review »

The Cosco High Rise Booster Car Seat has never let us down. My best friend's daughter uses it every time she's in the care with myself and my child. It's very secure and safe. It's nice because when she sits on it, we know she's safe and we also know that she will be safe if anything happened such as an accident, a hit and run or any other danger on the road. It gives her the ability to feel like she's older and not like such a baby in a tall, clunky car seat that is usually surrounding her whole body. I know she enjoys her car seat just as much as we find it safe.

Hopefully, if it stays in good...

We just bought two of these for our two children both age of three and over the height and weight criteria. We love how easy they assembled and how fast we are able to switch them from vehicle to vehicle. It was such a pain to use a regular car seat that did go up to 65 pounds to transition all the time and the price it was not very affordable to buy four. We love them and the kids feel like big kids and love how they get to wear a regular seat belt like mommy and daddy. The only thing is that for some reason it may be my vehicle that the back of the seat seems to sit lower in the seat and the...

I am currently writing a  review for a cosco high rise booster seat. As a mother of two I know how important safety is and I only use the best for my children when it comes to that. I have found that cosco products always work the best for me. They are easy to install the baby car seat as well as the high rise booster seat. My youngest just stop using the baby car seat and it has been thoroughly tested by him. I found the car seat to be great to use and easy to clean up.  Now that my son has turned one he is in the high back booster seat and loves it. He just sits there and is happy that he can...

we bought this carseat because it was highly recomended. it was very great. my daughter loved the cup holders on the side i loved it to. it was a neutral color so it hid the dirty prety well. it sat in all vehicles very well. the high back was convenant for traveling. all you had to do was add a curved pillow so the kids neck was not bent over. the price was reasonable. for the product. the cosco high rise booster car seat was great untill you went to move it from car to car. where you had to put the buckle was hard to reach. put the combination of being short in the equation it was even worse....

The product that I will be talking about in this review is known as the high back booster car seat made by Costco.  t is a okay buy if you like the hassle.  The back falls off consonantly. It'ss also aggravation, the seat belt holder is to high therefore it is constantly cutting in to my daughters neck. The cup holders on it is not easy to open and definitelynot deep enough to hold any type of drink big or small.  If you own a van like I do then it is imposable to get the thing to sit snug in the seat after you fasten the seat belt.  I don't really think it is that safe.  In many cars the base...

I would like to comment on the Cosco High Rise Booster Seat.  We just recently switched my granddaughter from a traditional car seat that was suppose to "grow with her".  The old one was very uncomfortable and the seatbelt harness always cut into her shoulder area.  With this new carseat it has a special seatbelt strap holder that directs the seatbelt lower across her chest.  This allows her to move her arms around and her neck without feeling like the seatbelt was cutting into her skin.  She is much more enjoyable in the car now.  The new booster also comes with cup holders which is a very...

I am totally in love with our new carseat which we recently purchased at Target. It is called the Costco High Back Booster Seat. This is a great seat, I love it. The fabric is amazing to resist anything a kid might try to put on it. Its easy to clean as well, it wipes clean for the most part. My daughter loves this seat as well. It is comfortable, lightweight for trekking through the airport with, and the wipe-able fabric is sooo easy to clean! If you read the review on the WSJ their review is based off of using this seat as a booster with your cars seat belt. Not using the 5pt harness. This is...

The Cosco High Rise Booster Car Seat met all the needs that I was looking for in a car seat.  It has the safety features that were recommended by family and friends.  Also comfort features that were important.  The five point harnass is easy to use, but the strap to adjust the tention is alitte hard to use, We, my husband and I, really like the sides of the car seat, our son likes to fall asleep in the car and the padded sided craddles his head, so he does not wake up with a soar neck. I also like this car seat because it adjusts with my son as he grows.  It will become a booster seat once...
