Most HelpfulI got the Cosco Alpha Omega car seat at a hand me down from my cousins. They loved it for their son and he was a little sad to see it go. My daughter was quickly growing out of her other car seat as she got closer and closer to one year old. It was very large and after 2 years of use still in very...
review »When I first realized that my daughter was never going to make it to her first birthday in her infant carrier I started on a hunt for the perfect carseat. I drive a small car, so finding a seat that was going to fit rearfacing was a bit challenging. I also was working on a very tight budget at the time. I saw this seat online and it had pretty good reviews but I wanted to see it in person before I would purchase it. The seat looks very bulky but it is not as bulky as some other seats I looked at and the price does not require a bulky wallet. It fits perfect in my Ford Focus when it is rearfacing....
review »I absolutely love this car seat. It was worth every penny we spent for it. My daughter seems comfortable and at the same time I know she's safe. I love the neck support it gives her, unlike most car seats, when she sleeps her neck has the support it needs instead of having to buy that extra piece.
The Cosco Alpha Omega Elite car seat (Eddie Bauer edition) is overall a great car seat. You can start your child in it at as low as 8 pounds and it is good up to 100 pounds. Essentially this car seat could be the only car seat you need for your child. It is cost effective, seems to be comfortable for the baby, and is an attractive seat. It has a feature that allows you to recline the seat for the baby (can only be used when the seat is rear facing). It comes with additional features like the cup holder that attaches on and some additional pillows which are removable. I found that the...
review »I love this car seat! We researched which car seat to get and settled on this one for our daughter when she turned one. We picked this one because of it's versatility. Our daughter didn't outgrow her infant carrier until after she turned one, but we settled on this one because we knew we wanted several more kids and if any of them outgrow the carrier before they turn one, we can use this one for rear facing. Our daughter is now 2 1/2 and still fits in this one comfortably with the harness. And, once she gets big enough for a belt-positioning booster seat, she can still use this one! ...
review »This car seat definitely has some drawbacks, but overall, it's worth the effort. I used two of these seats for about 4 years, and I wouldn't have traded them for anything!
The seat is a little difficult to install, and bulky, but once it's in, you can be confident your child is safe. The optional heat support, padded bar restraint, shoulder harness and degree of recline are all adjustable, meaning the seat fits your child, instead of trying to fit the child to the seat. This is important because the seat is meant to be used for toddlers on up, and that's exactly what I did. I bought them...
review »Because I was not happy with the infant car seat I purchased, I checked out a ton of different car seats before buying this one. I looked at an endless amount of reviews on-line. I also checked out Consumer Reports, which didn't have ratings on many but they did rate this one excellent. That was what sold me on it. Now all I had to do was find the best price. I was just about ready to purchase it form Wal-Mart (the cheapest place I could find it @ about $150) when I remembered one more place I wanted to check. Boy am I gald I did! I purchased this seat at Big Lots for $80! ...
review »I bought the Alpha Omega Elite for my daughter and I feel that it's a very secure car seat. I like the fact that the car seat is very sturdy and easy to adjust. It was worth the money. It's a wonderful carseat.
Once your little baby starts to outgrow their infant carrier you start to look for other options. I know with both my boys that infant carrier only lasted a few months. They were too long and the infant carrier got too heavy to hold. I started looking at options for a rear facing car seat that would also be good to turn around to forward facing once he got to the appropriate size and age requirement to do so. When looking for one, I was thinking of how cost effective it is and how many car seats or booster seats I would be willing to buy. I found this Cosco Alpha Omega Elite for a great price and...
review »Sacco's booster seat------------------ My family learned a lesson a few months back when my cousin's son experienced more pain than he needed to after a car accident.
Thankfully he is now doing great, but for a while it was looking pretty scary.
The reality is that much of what happened could have been avoided had the 4-year-old been in the appropriate car seat for his weight and height.
I admit that as my daughter has grown making sure her car seat was the right one for her was not always in the forefront of my mind.
Don't get me wrong, she always sat in a car seat, but I wasn't as meticulous...
