Cosco Alpha Omega Elite Review Summary

Considered by reviewers as a “one stop car seat,” the Cosco Alpha Omega Elite Car Seat is a convertible car seat designed to fit children from 5-100 pounds. With an easy to use adjustable head rest, and a durable design that will last for years, reviewers overwhelmingly agree the Cosco Alpha Omega Car Seat has been the best choice for their little ones. Many parents state their child looks very comfortable in [the Alpha Omega]” but there are varying opinions on how well children enjoyed riding in the car seat. Additionally, as a multi-purpose car seat, the Alpha Omega Car Seat is quite bulky. You won’t be fitting three of these in the backseat, but it does fit rear-facing in smaller cars. Overall owners of the Cosco Alpha Omega Car Seat feel it is “just as safe” as more expensive seats and “well worth the price since it holds up for such a long time.” Check out reviews on other convertible car seats to make a comparison.

In an effort to save money and hopefully make our car seat last as long as possible we purchased the Cosco Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat for use with our older daughter so that her little sister could have the infant car seat carrier.

I got the Cosco Alpha Omega car seat at a hand me down from my cousins.  They loved it for their son and he was a little sad to see it go. My daughter was quickly growing out of her other car seat as she got closer and closer to one year old. It was very large and after 2 years of use still in very...

I have been very happy with this car seat. After hours of research I bought this for my son when he turned one. He is very comfortable in it. To adjust the shoulder straps you do not have to remove the straps from the seat. There are levers that you turn to lower or raise the straps. Then when the child grows out of the seat and is ready for a booster that part removes completely and can be used as the booster seat. It also comes with a detachable pillow for added comfort and a removable base so it fits in any car or truck. The only down fall to this car seat I have found is adjusting the... review »

When I first realized that my daughter was never going to make it to her first birthday in her infant carrier I started on a hunt for the perfect carseat. I drive a small car, so finding a seat that was going to fit rearfacing was a bit challenging. I also was working on a very tight budget at the time. I saw this seat online and it had pretty good reviews but I wanted to see it in person before I would purchase it. The seat looks very bulky but it is not as bulky as some other seats I looked at and the price does not require a bulky wallet. It fits perfect in my Ford Focus when it is rearfacing....

I absolutely love this car seat. It was worth every penny we spent for it. My daughter seems comfortable and at the same time I know she's safe. I love the neck support it gives her, unlike most car seats, when she sleeps her neck has the support it needs instead of having to buy that extra piece.

The Cosco Alpha Omega Elite car seat (Eddie Bauer edition) is overall a great car seat.  You can start your child in it at as low as 8 pounds and it is good up to 100 pounds.  Essentially this car seat could be the only car seat you need for your child.  It is cost effective, seems to be comfortable for the baby, and is an attractive seat.  It has a feature that allows you to recline the seat for the baby (can only be used when the seat is rear facing).  It comes with additional features like the cup holder that attaches on and some additional pillows which are removable.  I found that the...

I love this car seat!  We researched which car seat to get and settled on this one for our daughter when she turned one.  We picked this one because of it's versatility.  Our daughter didn't outgrow her infant carrier until after she turned one, but we settled on this one because we knew we wanted several more kids and if any of them outgrow the carrier before they turn one, we can use this one for rear facing.  Our daughter is now 2 1/2 and still fits in this one comfortably with the harness.  And, once she gets big enough for a belt-positioning booster seat, she can still use this one! ...

This car seat definitely has some drawbacks, but overall, it's worth the effort.  I used two of these seats for about 4 years, and I wouldn't have traded them for anything!

The seat is a little difficult to install, and bulky, but once it's in, you can be confident your child is safe.  The optional heat support, padded bar restraint, shoulder harness and degree of recline are all adjustable, meaning the seat fits your child, instead of trying to fit the child to the seat.  This is important because the seat is meant to be used for toddlers on up, and that's exactly what I did.  I bought them...

Because I was not happy with the infant car seat I purchased, I checked out a ton of different car seats before buying this one.  I looked at an endless amount of reviews on-line.  I also checked out Consumer Reports, which didn't have ratings on many but they did rate this one excellent.  That was what sold me on it.  Now all I had to do was find the best price.  I  was just about ready to purchase it form Wal-Mart (the cheapest place I could find it @ about $150) when I remembered one more place I wanted to check.  Boy am I gald I did!  I purchased this seat at Big Lots for $80! ...

We bought this seat at Sears for my son, who had outgrown his infant carseat. No matter how we adjusted it, he just could not get comfortable. He would get finicky for the shortest rides and always looked like he was being pushed forward. We adjusted the seat placement in the car, the straps, many other things many other times, all to no avail. The headrest pushed his head into this forward tilt that made him miserable. We used this seat rear facing. When friends gave us a Britax Marathon, DS was soooo much more comfortable. I cannot recommend this seat, which we had high hopes for due to its price... review »

This was a great find our one year old daughter loves it. I think it makes her feel like a big girl. We decided to purchase this seat due to the fact it should be the last one we need to buy. It is one of the few seats that is convertible from birth to 100 lbs. I also love the adjustable head rest. This seat can not be beat for the price and versatility.

Doesn't fit in a small car well - like a toyota corolla in my case - It doesn't have enough room to recline and my babys head was always on her chest .. I got rid of this a few weeks after I bought it and bought a graco car seat that worked much better in my car.

I bought the Alpha Omega Elite for my daughter and I feel that it's a very secure car seat.  I like the fact that the car seat is very sturdy and easy to adjust.  It was worth the money. It's a wonderful carseat.

Once your little baby starts to outgrow their infant carrier you start to look for other options. I know with both my boys that infant carrier only lasted a few months. They were too long and the infant carrier got too heavy to hold. I started looking at options for a rear facing car seat that would also be good to turn around to forward facing once he got to the appropriate size and age requirement to do so. When looking for one, I was thinking of how cost effective it is and how many car seats or booster seats I would be willing to buy. I found this Cosco Alpha Omega Elite for a great price and...

Sacco's booster seat------------------ My family learned a lesson a few months back when my cousin's son experienced more pain than he needed to after a car accident.

Thankfully he is now doing great, but for a while it was looking pretty scary.

The reality is that much of what happened could have been avoided had the 4-year-old been in the appropriate car seat for his weight and height.

I admit that as my daughter has grown making sure her car seat was the right one for her was not always in the forefront of my mind.

Don't get me wrong, she always sat in a car seat, but I wasn't as meticulous...
