The Cosco Alpha Omega Elite car seat (Eddie Bauer edition) is overall a great car seat. You can start your child in it at as low as 8 pounds and it is good up to 100 pounds. Essentially this car seat could be the only car seat you need for your child. It is cost effective, seems to be comfortable for the baby, and is an attractive seat. It has a feature that allows you to recline the seat for the baby (can only be used when the seat is rear facing). It comes with additional features like the cup holder that attaches on and some additional pillows which are removable. I found that the pillow behind the head was a little useless when my child was younger as it made her sit with her head bent forward. The only common complaint that I have heard from other users as well is that the buckle is a little tricky. I personally thought it was the first time or two I used it, however, like anything, once you are used to it, it is not difficult at all. The only real complaint that I personally have is it's ability to live up to it's claim on the weight limit. In my state children have to be in their car seat until they are 4 years old or 40 pounds. My daughter is just turning three this month and is very tall and slender and she is reaching 40 pounds already. The 5 point harness is running out of length. Since she can't use the seat as a booster as it offers for another year, I guess I will be buying a new booster for her and putting my infant into this one.
