Cosco Alpha Elite Car Seat Review

When I first realized that my daughter was never going to make it to her first birthday in her infant carrier I started on a hunt for the perfect carseat. I drive a small car, so finding a seat that was going to fit rearfacing was a bit challenging. I also was working on a very tight budget at the time. I saw this seat online and it had pretty good reviews but I wanted to see it in person before I would purchase it. The seat looks very bulky but it is not as bulky as some other seats I looked at and the price does not require a bulky wallet. It fits perfect in my Ford Focus when it is rearfacing.

It was a little difficult to install at first but once you do it a couple of times it is very easy.

 I purchased this seat a week before I was going to be driving across the country. My daughter looks very comfortable in it. We were in the car for at least 8 hours a day for 5 days. She never fought me when I put her back in after a break. When I first started using this seat I did notice that her head was flopping forward if she fell asleep but I just put a rolled up blanket under the edge of the seat(which was in the manual as being ok to do) and she was fine.

 Of course after spending that much time in the seat it got kinda dirty and taking it apart was a little tricky because the directions were not very detailed. But I did get it apart and then back together again properly.

This seat can be used for a child from 5lbs-100lbs. It is advertised as the ONLY seat you will ever have to buy. After having this seat for about 3 months I purchased a second one for my mom's car so I wouldn't have to keep taking the seat in and out of vehicles everytime my mom was watching my daughter. It is not as expensive as the britax but I feel it is just as safe(I have friends who own britax carseats) and just as comortable.
