We bought this phone several years ago because it had all the features we wanted and it was priced reasonably. Setting up the answering machine and hand phone was not difficult although there are some very technical functions that we determined we don't need.
I suggest that you take into consideration that even though the phone is not difficult to set up it is time consuming; the person working on the phone project needs to be patient.

I just bought a VTech cordless phone. It has all the features you want but in an affordable price. It has speaker phone,caller ID,call waiting. The design is fabilous for what you pay for the phone. Has clear reception. Has a speaker phone for people like me that is one reason I chose this cordless phone. I myself get tired of holding the phone in my hand all the time so now i can put on the speakerphone and don't have to hold it no more that is great for me now. If any one out there has children who are constantly stealing the home phone and you can not find it. Or, if you have a dual level home and hate to trudge up and down the stairs just so that yelling for your child does not wake the infant. This is the system for you. I have used this system in my home for over a year. It was very easy to program and set up.All of the features work well.
