I bought two of these GE phones after a bad experience with a cheaper brand. I chose GE, because I have had good experience with other small appliances they make, and I've not been disappointed. They have worked very well. The only time I've picked up one that didn't work, I found it had been accidentally disconnected from the telephone jack. I deliberately chose phones that did not have a lot of added features like redial, hold, answering machine, call waiting, mute. and the like. VTech - 900MHZ Cordless Telephone
I have received two of these phones as gifts. Both of them had poor voice quality. I did not use either a week before discarding it. I have talked to friends who had the same experience with them. I have wondered if the person who gave them to me got them as a prize of some kind. I can't imagine anyone buying them who had done any research on their quality. I did a little of this on line and found that they received very poor ratings on bulletin boards that did consumer testing and evaluations. They were very small, attractive, modern and stream lined. Panasonic - Panasonic KX-TG2120
I tried it for about six months and found it unsatisfactory. The handset worked well for a short period of time.. However, it could be used less than five-minutes with each charge. If left off the base when not in use, it went dead. I tried replacing the battery and that did not help. As they were expensive, I only tried this one time. I talked to the company about the problem, and their only suggestion was that I return it at my expense to let them inspect it. I have not done that.
