Great coverage and easy application.

It's a generally good product that makes sunscreen application easy and fast. Effectiveness My kids are super pale and we spent a week at the beach using this on their faces everyday and they never got burnt. Scent It smells like sunscreen. Absorption I noticed that after some time in the sun (which, obviously, sunscreen is going to be), it got slightly melty and when we tried to reapply after being at the beach for 30 minutes, it would start to come off in big chunks on their faces. I ended up having to rub it in after that because it is rather thick.

This is the best product I've found in years!

Being a mom of three I love love this product. It works great for faces, noses, and ears. And it's quick! The kids don't mind me putting it on the faces and I can get everyone covered and ready to swim or play in no time. It is the best product I've found in years. Effectiveness I always feel safe knowing my kids have this product on their faces and ears. Scent I don't really notice much of a scent with this product. Absorption It absorbs instantly. I really really love this product.

Must have in my purse!

I have one of the Coppertone Water babies sun block sticks in my purse at all times!  I live in Florida, and we need sun protection year round.  This stick is excellent for rubbing on little noses and cheeks, as well as the forgotten places like ear lobes and the back of necks!  I never know when we are going to be out in the sun for and  extended period of time, and although we pur sunscreen on every morning, it is often worn away, or lost during the day.  This is a great product that you can carry with you and have sun protection at all times!  I also am nostalgic about the Coppertone brand and it is one that I trust, as well as the fact that I love the smell!  This product is SPF 50, and is water-resistant, so it works for my little swimmers, though it does recommend re-applying after swimming or sweating.  It is a great product that everyone that has kids in the sun should have in thier purse.

Excellent Suncreen for cycling...

4

If you ride outside in the sun as much as I do you need a couple of excellent sunscreen products to protect your precious skin from sun damage and melanoma. Because I ride such long distances, I am in the sun for periods of up to 24 hours and require at least two different products to keep my skin healthy. For my face and spot dabs on my arms, I have chosen the Coppertone Waterbabies sunscreen stick with SPF 55 because of its ease of application. I don't want carry a large tube of ANYTHING on the bike so this size stick is excellent for me when I stop to reapply to my face. It contains only what is necessary to keep my skin protected and nothing more so I don't get irritations from the product being on my skin all day long. The only issue that I have with it is that is can feel very greasy and ease itself into my eyes if I get it too close to them so I am careful only to put it around the periphery of my sunglasses. Other than that, it's a great product. Safe for children and safe for me. Sandy

Good for sensitive skin, not running in eyes, great protection

4

I used this in combination with Water Babies Pure & Simple Sunscreen Lotion and, not only did it not run in my eyes, even in the sweltering southern heat, but it did not irritate my sensitive skin and did not make me breakout. I tend to burn, even through my clothes sometimes in as little as 15 minutes, so you can imagine what my face must do, sometimes even with supposedly good sunscreens. I wore this on the beach during the harshest time of the time and did not burn, tan, anything at all. This will remain a staple for me and my family because of that. The only downside is that like most sunscreens, you can not really put makeup on over it and it makes you look a little shiny.

Coppertone Waterbabies Sunscreen Stick is helpful

The Coppertone Waterbabies Sunscreen stick is a helpful little stick to carry around in your bag.  While it's not quite as easy as I originally thought it would be, it can get you out of a pinch!  It's a little hard to apply to a baby's face.  Now that my girls are toddlers though it is much easier to use since I am not as worried about smooshing their little faces around.  I keep one of these in my purse.  If we make an unexpected side trip to the park during main sun hours then I have one of these sticks handy!  I have used it as an all over sunscreen when I've been in a pinch.  I like that it can't leak and get sunscreen all over the inside of my pocket book.  It is a little thick and sticky though so make sure you have something you can clean your hands off with like a paper towel or rag. On a normal use basis though I recommend not playing around with the stick and just buying regular sunblock.  Even for little ones faces, it's so much easier to apply the lotion to them than the stick!  It's nice that it has a high SPF though from what I have read it doesn't make as much of a difference after you hit SPF 30.  We've also found that generic brands work just as well at a lower price!

Great, easy product that my child enjoyed.

My first experience with a sunscreen stick was the Coppertone Water Babies SPF 55.  I grabbed it at the store as I was doing some last minute shopping for a family trip to California and it looked like something that would be easy with a 2 year old.  It definitely was!  My son thought it was the neatest thing to be able to spread the sunscreen on his face and arms with my help the first time, and then wanted to do it himself every time he saw the stick in the diaper bag.  The product seemed to work great.  We spent hours playing in the sun and water, and he didn't get any sunburn at all.  The size of the product is also something I love.  It's small and easy to tuck into little pockets in my diaper bag, and I don't have to worry about it taking up lots of space.  Also, it's nice to have it in a stick, because sometimes the mess that comes from regular sunscreens can get all over the couch, carseat, or clothes.

Too Hard To Use on a Baby

2

Well, I was excited to get this stick of sunscreen as a gift at my baby shower, because it's small, compact, and very easy to just toss in our bag and use when needed.  But when I needed to use it - I found it was just too difficult to put on!  My baby, at 7 months, just wouldn't sit still long enough to get the stuff on!  The sunscreen tends to be sticky, as well, and so trying to get it rubbed onto her skin, was very uncomfortable for her.  She just didn't want me messing with her!  Maybe it takes older kids or babies who don't squirm, but the lotion or spray works much better for us.  I went ahead and let my cousin who is 14, use it, and for her it was fine!  So maybe for babies, you might want to keep things in a spray bottle or as a lotion that's easier to apply on little ones.

We couldn't live without Coppertone Water Babies Sunscreen Stick

As a mother of a 7 month old, I always search for the safest products to use on my son. Coppertone Water Babies Sunscreen Stick, is the best face and body stick on the market specifically for babies. It still has the same wonderful scent as the lotion, but, it applies quicker and is less messy. I would have given this product 5 stars if they offered it in higher SPF's.

Works well on the face

I am a fan of this product.  The stick is easy to use and the size is perfect for traveling in purses or diaper bags.  You can leave one in the car too.  I like the stick because it makes applying sunscreen on the face easy.  My children don't mind using the stick and they even like to have a turn applying it on themselves.  When I am in a jam or hurry I may even use the stick on their arms, back oftheir necks, ears.  It is not greasy and is not liquid.  There is nothing to rub in.  There is no dripping or getting into eyes.  It is safe.  I even use the stick on myself.  The SPF is high and I feel like my kids are well protected from the sun when this is applied to their skin.  I would recommend this product to be used in conjuction with regular sunscreen.  I would recommend this product to friends and family for a quality effective product.  I am please with the results when using this product.  My children have not gotten sunburned when using this product.
