not so great on wet snow

I am disappointed in how these tires handle on wet snow. It appears they have a hard time initially grabbing traction to the road. My fiance is a truck driver. He knows his cars and his tires. He recommends snow tires for anyone who lives in a snowy climate and thgis is a brand that he trusts. He has used them before on plenty of vehicles and they have never failed him. — Like any tires, they do slip and slide sometimes, but that is always bound to happen atleast a few times. i had to make a quick choice when i purchased my tires. my head was swarming with all the attributes the salesman was giving me due to the fact that i know nothing about cars and accessories for them. i guess that i was lucky when i chose cooper tires. when i got in my car to leave, i thought i was in the wrong one. the drive home was so smooth and entirely different than that i was used to. when the first big snow fell, i was no longer clinging to the steering wheel praying for a safe trip home. i felt not only confident but also safe. thank you cooper… read full review »

Don't Believe the Hype!

I went to Kost Tire to get four Hankook I-Pikes put on my car. Instead they gave me Cooper Weathermasters (T2). The tread is non-directional which makes all the difference in the world. With these tires, the slush gets trapped in the grooves and defeats the whole purpose of snow tires. We bought these snow tires after moving to MIchigan from Seattle. Since we are not used to all the snow we were pleasantly surprised that we had no trouble driving around even when it looked like a blizzard outside! we watched other people slipping and sliding around and we crusied by with no problem at all.
