Best gadget!

I have owned this machine for several months now, and I am still just as in love with it as I was the first time I used it. I love how it has several uses all in one; waffles, sandwiches, and a grill. I truly could not ask for a better gadget to have in my kitchen. I would absolutely recommend this machine to anyone who is looking for something useful and innovative for their kitchen. Performance Whether I make grilled sandwiches or waffles, they always come out delicious and crispy! Settings/Features It does not offer many settings, but it truly does not need to. It's fine the way it is. Ease of Cleaning This is the major plus side to this gadget. It is so easy to clean. I just wipe it down with a kitchen towel after each use. Ease of Use I cannot even explain how easy this is to use. Just plug it in, put your sandwich/waffle batter in, put the lid down, and you're done! Durability This machine is literally one of the most durable and strong waffle machines I have ever owned. I have not had any issues with it at all.

Don't waste your money

I got this as a wedding gift and loved the concept of it. Making hot sandwiches, waffles and such would surely be a much used appliance. Well I was sorely disappointed. Not only did my sandwich not really toast but the inside of it got.so hot it oozed out of the griddle and onto the counter and I didn't overload it at all. Couldn't even make waffles with it. Good concept but lacking. Performance A misleading product to make you think you can do all these wonderful things with it. In reality, there is nothing from stopping anything coming out of it and onto your counters. It isn't the tightest nor heaviest fitting. And anything that has a liquid consistency will just slide out of.the plates. Settings/Features This is basically a 1 setting for all, which is fine since there's a light indicator but it doesn't gurantee your food is done when the light goes out. Also the lid just clips on, which makes the seal weak. Ease of Cleaning Cleaning is easy IF all the mess stays on the plates. The plates clean very easy and everything slides right off. Getting it off the appliance itself is a different story. After unsuccessfully getting the gunk out of the hinge and crevices, I just let it dry and took a scraper to it to get everything off. Plus the countertop. Ease of Use Ok so cooking with it is basically a no brainer. Keeping everything in it to cook is not easy plus the instructions don't really tell you much on what to do with the contents or how much. Durability Not sure how long this would last, as the whole thing is light and the clip is very loose and cheap. Also the plates being removed constantly may wear as well. I think money can be better spent on a real sandwich maker instead of this knock off.

Saves on storage space

I wanted a waffle maker and my friend gave me this for Christmas. There are some things about it I like and some not so much. Likes: the plates are removable, so it is easier to wash them after use. It saves on storage space, so i item replaces 3. Dislikes: It takes forever to cook a waffle of sandwich and does not brown evenly. The edges brown first and while waiting for the middle the edges get a little too brown. When I make a sandwich I like to put butter on the outside of the bread. I found when I removed the plates to wash them, the butter and melted an gone beneath the plates by the element. This made me think it could cause a small grease fire if it dripped onto the element itself. I have not used the grill plates simply because they sit flat and I prefer my George Forman because it slopes forward and the fat runs into the little dish. Maybe as it ages it will do a better job of cooking. I will keep using it...it was a gift, afterall. I will just be more careful with the amount of butter I use on the outside of the bread. Performance After using for awhile I am starting to like it better. If I wait a little longer, things are cooking more evenly.

The Cooks 3-in-1 is a convenient but not a stellar appliance

I loved this appliance when I first saw it. I thought the three plates - waffle, sandwhich, and grill - were a great idea to make one appliance into three. The appliance itself works well enough. There is nothing particularly outstanding about it, but it gets the job done. It heats relatively quickly and evenly. The interchangable plates are easy to use and clean. There are a few points about each plate: 1. Waffle - This plate can be very messy to use. It is best if you pour the waffle batter into the center and let it cover the plate rather the pour the batter over the entire plate. It cooks waffles well, but be such to either spray the plate with a cooking spray or put butter on it so that it won't stick. 2. Sandwhich - Cooks simple sandwhiches (like grilled cheese) very well. The only issue I've had is the cheese oozing out and making mess around and under the plate. 3. Grill - This is more of a panini press type plate. I have used it to cook hambugers, but there is not place for grease to drain off, so I do not recommend cooking meats on it. Hot dogs cook ok on the grill, but I do recommend it just for paninis. I would recommend it if you have use for all three plate, but it certainly is not the best product on the market.
