Coffee or tea!

5

I always tell people when they ask if I want coffee, that I have not gotten old enough for it yet. Well, I am forty now and still don't like it so I guess I never will. I was given this Cooks coffeemaker however. So I put it to good use brewing tea! As much as I have a disdain for coffee, I love tea! I can make tea by boiling water on the stove, but I believe it brews better with two tea bags and water in the Cooks coffeemaker. I remember my grandmother brewing tea in a coffeemaker years ago and after she died I could never seem to find the right taste for tea. I think I really discovered her touch. It was brewing it in a coffeemaker. The thing I also like about the Cooks coffeemaker is when I have guests, I can make them coffee if I need to. I believe that is why it was given to me in the first place. The giver of the gift expects coffee when they visit. The Cooks 12 Cup Coffeemaker is easy to use, extremely easy to clean up and not bulky so it stores relatively easy. It is also good for multitasking, in case if you have to say, coffee or tea anyone!

This is the best coffeemaker I have ever owned! So easy to program and gets coffee very hot, unlike my last one. There is no spilling when you pour the coffee and it makes great tasting coffee. I love that it has a built in filter and that it is very easy to clean.

Good Coffee Maker

I use this coffee maker daily. It brews tea via tea bags in the removable strainer basket. I also make coffee with grounds. I like that the basket is able to be cleaned so that no coffee residue gets in my tea and vice versa. It is a bit cumbersome to put the water into the tank without dripping water on the counter. The pouring spout on the carafe is not very deep so it makes pouring a bit messy. It does brew very well and if you keep it on it will keep it fresh and hot for a couple of hours. Brew Performance Love the way this coffee maker brews - will keep coffee fresh and hot for a couple of hours. Ease of Cleaning Love the removable strainer basket - best feature ever on a coffee maker! Ease of Use Very simple to operate Design Pouring water into the tank is messy due to the spout on the carafe not being deep enough. Great looking design but not as functional as I would like. Durability I've used this daily for a couple of years without any problems at all.

I bought this coffee maker because I wanted to upgrade my little 4 cup one and it was on sale at JCPenney. The maker itself worked fine and I had no problems with it. I like having a reusable basket, coffee was hot, easy to fill water resevoir. The one problem with it was the carafe. The coffee pot itself cracked within 4 months of purchase. Since it was outside the warranty period and I didn't pay much for it, I got rid of it and purchased another coffee maker. I won't be buying another product from this brand. I got what I paid for. Brew Performance No problems here. Ease of Cleaning Easy to clean, reusable basket was a bit of a pain. Ease of Use Easy to fill and turn on. I never used the programmable part. Design Looked alright. Durability Carafe cracked after 3 months.

Love my Cooks Coffeemaker

I have tried many coffe makers in the past, and this one is, by far, one of my favorites. I really like the way you program it. You actually go into program mode to make any time changes. Unlike other coffee makers I have had in the past that the time will change if you accidently press a button while cleaning it. It sure is a lot less frustration. The Cooks coffee maker is very easy to program also.  Takes less than a minute to set it up, and the smell of fresh coffee in the morning when you wake up is wonderful.  Only thing that I am not fond of is the on/off switch.  Press it once for on and twice from programmed time.  If you are not familiar with this feature (like my roomate) you may think you are turning it off when in all actuality you are going into the programmed time feature.  This happened a few times when my roomie tried to turn it off and can get very frustrating. All in all, a very good machine!

I searched and searched for a really reliable and good coffee maker and stumbled across this one.  I got a steal of a price on it when I purchased it plus a rebate at the time.  I can tell you that I LOVE this machine!  It's so easy to use and very dependable.  The instructions and care were very simple and the machine is so quick!  It has many features that my husband and I love.  We especially love the programmable part of it and the fact that you can take out the caraffe and pour a cup of coffee before the coffee is all brewed.  We weren't very big coffee drinkers before, but the ease of use and dependability has really sold us!  The machine is so easy to clean and it's so nice to have the reusable coffee filter.  Just one little drawback seems to be that the last cup of coffee usually seems a little grainy at the bottom, and maybe this could be rectified by using disposable filters as well.  Overall, we are very happy with this and love our coffee!

Not for me...

We bought this as a gift for the household last Christmas. We thought it was a great deal because it came with a rebate. It quit working before we ever got the rebate in the mail! It started off great & we loved it & used it daily. The problem started with the clock and programming controls. The digital clock & controls are on the front & top of the machine so when you make coffee, the steam that rises goes straight up into the controls. Our clock went out first. You couldn't see the numbers at all, just a blank display. It would come back every now and then but not often enough to matter. You could see condensation inside the clock area. We bought this because we wake up early & wanted a programmable coffeemaker. After the clock went out, you couldn't see what the time was or what time you were trying to program it to. Another downfall is that it has an automatic shutoff & turns off on it's own after 2 hours. If you take longer than 2 hours to drink a pot of coffee you either have to keep turning it back on or you have cold coffee :( So we eventually threw it out & bought a cheapo one.

***I have had several coffee pot`s over the years. The cook`s coffee pot is,I`d have to say,one of the best coffee pot`s I have ever used. The best feature I like is .. you don`t need any filters. The mesh filter is the best.Take it out, wash it out,put it back in,add your favorite coffee.I know, for myself,I won`t be buying anyother coffee pot but the cook`s brand.I like it,I trust it to work.I have used several other brands over the years, and I have to say..this brand is the best. It`s a strong coffee pot.Work`s well, and makes your coffee taste like..the brand you buy,not nasty, stale coffee. If you are looking for a good, strong coffee pot that will last you, unlike most other brands, this is the one!If you buy this coffee pot,I beleave you will be as satisfied as I have been. The nice part is, you no longer need to buy the nasty tasting paper filters anymore.***
