I bought a HAI hair straighten about 2 years ago and love it! It is a lot cheaper than a CHI hair straighteners and works just the same.  My niece is a hair dresser and she suggested the HAI straighteners to me when I told her I was looking for a good straighteners and did not want to spend the money on a CHI.  I use it everyday and it doesn't leave my hair frizzy or dry feeling and completely straitens my somewhat thin, fine, curly hair.  My daughter has thick hair and it works great on her hair. She has used a CHI also and can not tell a difference in the way the two straighteners hair.  When I purchased my HAI I used a Clairol's hair straighter and there is no comparison between the two.  The Clairol straighter never completely got all the curls out of my hair and left my hair feeling very dry and frizzy.  The HAI did cost more then the Clairol's straighter but the difference is preformace is worth the price.  I would highly recommend to any one the HAI hair straighter.

I finally got tired of buying cheaper flat irons in the store only to be buying another 6 to 12 months later. Before investing in this flat iron, I did my research. I asked my hairdresser and friends for recommendations. This was one of the top 3. I checked online reviews and most people were extremely happy with the Hai Covertable. Of the three recommended flat irons, this was the cheapest (which means a lot to me!).

I am a bit disappointed in my purchase. Although it does work well (much better than the store bought flat irons), i sometimes have to go over my hair 2 to 3 times, which I wouldn't expect to have to do with a flat iron of this cost. I don't like to over iron my hair because it dries it out. I can't say that I am disappointed that I did not select one of the other two irons, because I have not tried them and so cannot compare.

I will say this, I have owned this flat irton for over a year and it is still in perfect condition. Also, it is very easy to clean.

All in all, it is a decent flat iron, but it is overpriced

Love this flat iron!

Comments about HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron:

I tried a lot of different brands, but this one is by far my favorite! I've had mine for 6 years and it still works awesome. I love that it goes up to 400 degrees and heats up very fast. It also has a super long cord which is really handy.

Effectiveness
The high heat and smooth plates work perfect on my fine hair.

Durability
I've had it 6 years and still going strong!

Great for straightening or curling

By

Comments about HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron:

I have tried many straighteners because I had trouble finding one that really straightened and smoothed hair to my satisfaction. I have long and a bit thin hair that has a little bit of body or curl when not straightened. I love this straightener because makes me hair super stick straight. The iron heats up very hot which helps straighten, but you can control the temperature which is nice. I also prefer using this straightener to curl my hair over a curling iron or set of curlers. The high temperature helps my hair hold the curl for a long time, whereas my curls fell out with a curling iron or curlers. You can make small or big curls depending on how fast you move the straightener through your piece of hair.

Effectiveness
The high temperature makes it very effective.

Durability
I have used mine for five days a week for a long time and have never had to replace it. It can be neatly stored by wrapping the cord around it.

Leaves your hair straight and shiny

Comments about HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron:

I first got introduced to this product through my hair stylist. I have very long hair but not course enough to need stove curlers to straighten my hair. So, my stylist decided to use this product. I can tell you this product has saved my so much money because I have not had to go to the beauty salon so often. The straighten leaves my hair very straight and shiny. You can adjust the temperature to prevent burning of the hair. They heat up very quickly in case you are in a hurry. They were pretty expensive but I've had them for a while and no problems. I used them on courser hair than my own and straighter hair than my own so it works well on all textures, you just need to adjust the temperature. I highly recommend the product its worth the cost. I know they come in different sizes and can be adjusted to accomdate a smaller plate for shorter hair. I also believe that there is a automatic shut off on some models in case you them the straighter on.

The best flat iron I've ever used!

Comments about HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron:

I have used my Hai 1 1/4 inch flat iron for over 6 months now. I have converted my hairdresser to a Hai Fan! I had her use mine and she loves it. She found it more effective then the one she had been using for over a year. She couldn't believe how much nicer the finish to the hair is. I have very frizzy, damaged hair and this gets it straight and gives it great shine. It has an extra long cord and gets really hot as a professional iron should. I love it!

Comments about HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron:

finally a flat iron that lasts AND works with my hair! lesson learned #1: dont go to the drug store and buy conair, remington, and other cheapy looking ones because it only damages your hair and starts to fall apart in a short amount of time. lesson learned #2: read a crap ton of reviews before buying something, which should be a given but i didn't read much reviews in my teen years...

ive had this HAI flat iron for 4 years now, maybe? and it's still working strong. i straighten my hair less often now, but i do love it so much that i keep straightening my hair even after it's straight. i know, i know it's bad for my hair but i have seen less damage done compared to the several flat irons/straighteners that i've had in the past.

Can't live without my Hai flat iron!

By

from Gulf Shores, AL

Comments about HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron:

I have very thick, coarse, curly hair, and the only way to style it is to use a flat iron. I've tried several different brands, but the Hai is the best BY FAR! I have used this brand for almost 10 years and I LOVE it! My last one broke, and I would not even consider another brand to replace it with. I use my flat iron every day, and no matter how I style my hair, I use it to tame the little curly baby hairs around my face. The iron heats up so fast...way faster than my curling iron. It's small enough to get the little hairs, and it's very easy to maneuver. I also like how hot it gets, because it quickly smooths the pieces. I usually go over each section twice, and it gets my hair perfectly straight. I highly recommend this flat iron! In my opinion, it's the best one out there!

Love my Hai Flat Iron

By

from Sun City, CA

Comments about HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron:

My Hai flat iron is the best flat iron I have ever used! I have tried several other brands of flat irons in the past and none of them could match my Hai flat iron. Other brands snagged in my hair and left creases that wouldn't easily come out. They also did not leave my hair looking healthy but instead the ends would appear dry and frayed. Non of this is true of my Hai flat iron. It heats up to a high temperature, but it is also adjustable, so I can customize it to my needs. It makes my hair smooth, flat, and shiny with a very minimal effort. In just a few minutes I look great and am ready for work. I do not have to spend a lot of time on each section of hair as I had to in the past with other brands of flat irons. I am a busy working mom, so this is great in the mornings when I have little time to get myself and my kids out the door. I am pleased with the results every time I use my Hai flat iron.

HAI Flat Iron Not Recommended

By

from East Lansing, MI

Comments about HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron:

I purchased this HAI Flat iron a week ago to manage my hair a little bit more and to finally sport a much needed new look. I was impressed with the price of this particular item but that was about all i was impressed with. My hair is very thick and curly and was very very hard to straighten with this particular hair flat iron. It did not really straighten my hair, but it did make it to the point of being wavy. Which i was not at all satsified with. Anothe rthing i was extremely unsatisfied with was that it was very harsh on my hair. My hair was curly but healthy at first. After i used this flar iron, my hair was inexplainably dry, broken and completely damaged. The last thing that was unsatisfying about this flat iron was that i only had it for about a week and the plastic handle part was cracked within the first three days of hardly using it and by the end of the week the whole handle was completely broken. May just be poor workmanshipi. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

If I could have only one hair straightener, it would be the HAI!

By

from Clearwater, KS

Comments about HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron:

I think the Hai straightener is the best flat iron out there.  I first discovered it a my high-end hair salon. My stylist used the Hai on my hair and I had never seen my hair look better.  I asked my hairstylist what flat iron did he use on my hair.  He told me the salon used the Hai straighteners. My hair salon is world reknown so I knew they had access to the best products. My hair had never looked so smooth and shiny!  And let me tell you, I have thick hair like a lion's mane and after the stylist was done with my hair using the straightener it was definitely tamed.I bought one immediately and have never looked back. I recently had to replace my Hai straightener after five years and you guessed it, I bought another Hai.
