Quite honestly, I had never heard of Continental brand tires before. I only knew about the Firestones and Bridgestones and Michelins of the world, so when I called the local tire shop and talked to the owner, I was surprised that he recommended these right off the bat and said he had just put them on his daughter's vehicle as well. He really did remind me of my dad too! Ha! He told me that their tread system is really great and that several competitors have tried to imitate it, but have never been able to get it quite the same. I know I desperately needed new tires, but I couldn't BELIEVE the difference these made on my vehicle! I live in an area of lots of ice and snow, and I used to fishtail a little when turning on to icy roads, but these things are so grippy that does not happen at all anymore! I definitely recommend these for ice and snow, and truly believe this is the best tire I've ever purchased. I will be a loyal Continental customer for life!

These Continental Extreme Contact DWS Tires were the brand and type that came standard on my Honda when I bought it two years ago. Since that time my family has done a lot of driving and we have already put around 30,000 miles on the car we bought new. This means in less than two years we have put 30,000 miles on these tires. The tires have held up very well with all of our driving. They are smooth on both city roads and the highway. I do not worry even when I am driving on slick or slightly icy roads, as they continue to have good traction. One of the things I like about the tires too, that I was told when I purchased the car, was that this brand is stocked by Discount tire, so if I needed to have one replaced or purchase new ones, I could find them readily available in my area, and not just at the dealership. When it comes time to replace my tires, I am confident I will also replace them with this brand, as I have been very impressed with them.

My husband purchased these tires last year and we love them. They really do seem to work well in any weather conditions and any road conditions as well. I have always been a fan of goodyear tires and I do not mind paying a little extra for them. They last forever and seem to be good on highway driving and long distance driving. My husband and I do a lot of out of town driving and long distance driving and the car ride has been so much smoother since we have purchased and owned this brand of tires. My husband also does a lot of driving on rough country roads as this is where his family and friends live and they handle well on rough, rocky terrain as well. I have noticed that when it is raining outside that my cars tires do not spin or slide when taking off from a start and this I love. I would recommend this particular brand of tires to anyone who does a lot of traveling.

When I first purchased these Continental tires, I have to admit that I was very skeptical of this brand. My father advised me to purchase any other brand but Continental. I received a good price on the tires and now I am telling the world how great these tires are. These tires provide great traction in rain, snow, etc. I really like how the tread grips the road at interstate speeds as well as in turns. The positive traction feeling given by these tires provides a great deal of peace of mind both to me as well as when my wife and family are out and about. So far the overall wear as measured by tread depth has been minimal because after 35000 miles, the tires still look like new. When it is time to purchase new tires, Continental tires will definitely be at the top of my list. One area of possible concern is in the amount of road noise that is generated, especially at interstate speeds. These tires do generate a fair amount of road noise. Fortunately, I believe the benefits far outweigh any negatives with these tires.
