I have flown Delta, Northwest, Southwest, US Air, and Continental, and Continental was by far the best.  I flew them to Pittsburgh a couple of times, and I had a great experience both times.  On at least a couple of occasions, I actually got what would count as a breakfast (cereal and fruit) (this was a few years ago, so I don't know if they still do that).

On the way back from Pittsburgh to Houston the second time, I flew on a regional jet, which I prefer to a larger plane.  Our flight attendant, Omar, was very good (You know, if the flight attendant isn't going to be a really attractive woman, then I want Omar, because Omar could whip some a$$ if someone tried to take over the plane).  To top off the trip, we were about 30 minutes early getting to Houston, so we took a rolling tour of the airport terminals while Omar played a CD of Frank Sinatra-esque music.  I have to say that was kind of a surreal experience, and I swear that it's 100% true.

The only downside I've found with Continental is that for the flights I've researched, they tend to be a bit more expensive than others, but if it's only a little more then it's worth it.

I've come to rely more and more on this airline, especially for business trips. But it is true, they manage to be a bit on the pricey side.
