I wouldn't necessarily recommend this eliptical. I've used it at the gym, it isn't my favorite one to use. I swear it is broken down every other time I get to the gym. It is compact which is why I think the gym likes it so much and I think others may like that feature too, it would fit well in a home and kind of smaller space. Most other elipticals are quite large. The display is down lower which can be really annoying which also means there isn't anything that can hold a book or if you wanted to put your ipod or mp3 player on the dash it wouldn't work and that can get really annoying too. But if you are just watching tv and don't have anything in your ears there isn't anyting in oyr way to view it. It has several different speeds as well as resistance to help with your performance and there are a couple different programs to help with your exercise routine. The arms move well which is nice, but they don't move very far so I don't think you get as much of a workout in your arms as you could on a larger machine.
