I've had this little iron for over 5 years and it still works like the day I bought it. I have thick, long hair and it does a great job of creating curls where I need them. Doesn't do well on damp hair though, so make sure your hair is completely dry. The flat-iron attachment is good too and is easy to work with, but it has been known, from time-to-time, to snag my hair --which isn't pleasant. But if you use it right - unlike me at times, you can create great slicked hair. The sides of the flat iron are rounded so you can add a finishing-flip on the ends. The flat-iron also doesn't reach entirely close to the top of the scalp, so if you have naturally kinky or curly hair it will be difficult to straighten it all the way. This iron is easy to clean but it is a bit of a hassle to switch from iron to flat-iron. A nice feature is it does turn itself off after a certain time so you don't have to worry about coming home and finding your house burned down. If you want a long-lasting, stylish work-horse than this is the iron you want.

Love my Conair Instant Heat curling iron.  I am always in a hurry it seems, so it is nice that my iron is hot by the time I am done blow drying.  Heat is adjustable from 1-25.  I keep mine set right in the middle which is perfect for me.  Haven't had the need for the turbo ability because it does a fantastic curl without it.

Most of my appliances are Conair. I trust them to do the job well at a relatively inexpensive price. Most of the time, they do just that and they last for years. This Conair curling iron is no exception. I have had this iron for years and it performs just as well today as it did when I took it out of the box. It has 25 heat settings. I like the fact that I can dial the proper heat for my type of hair. This is very important because I have fine, thin hair that can burn quite easily. The multiple heat settings allow me to adjust the heat level to ensure this doesn't happen. It has a turbo heat setting that will give just a quick burst of heat if it is turned on. I highly recommend this curling iron as a very capable styling tool.

I got the Conair 1 inch curling iron as a birthday gift about two years ago. At first, I was slightly hesitant to even try using it because I've had experience with Conair **flat irons** before, and they are not good quality. But because it was a gift and it would be rude to shove it in a drawer and never think about it again, plugged it in and tested it out. I grabbed a small piece of hair, clamped it with the curling iron, and rolled it up towards my head. I let it down after about 3 seconds and was **amazed** at how pretty the curl was!   It heated up within about **30 seconds** and was ready to be used. I love how the light (next to the dial that controls the heat setting) blinked when it was warming up, and then stopped when it hit the ideal temperature. I also tried wrapping my hair **around** the metal rod to make a bigger curl (more of a wave) and it, too, was just so elegant. The hairstyles you can create with this heat tool range from sophisticated and elegant to casual, everyday wear. Amazingly good quality for a very small price!

I needed a new curling iron, my last one broke, so I saw the Conair Instant Heat, and I bought it thinking it would last longer than my previous ones did , I was right, it has out lasted my previous irons, and still working great. It heats instantly and has an adjustable heating **** to adjust the heat from 1 to 25 it also has turbo button, although I never needed to use that button. I really love the safety feature I can forget to turn it off and it will go off on its own after a certain time, I was glad to have this feature because alot of times Im rushed and may forget to unplug it, or turn it off, now I dont have to worry that  I may have left my curling iron on and have to make a trip back home to check. Also the cord turns when your iron does because it has a **** on the end that&*********** around allowing freedom from tangled cords, my hair dont get as frizzy or burned or dry like other irons used to make my hair look because I can adjust the heat.

I LOVE my new Conair Instant Heating Curling Iron! It gets hot so fast, I don't have to wait around waiting for it to curl my hair. The barrel is the perfect size for my personal styling needs. I am always in a rush either preplanned or spur of the moment I have to do my hair before I go anywhere. This innovative Conair product has saved me quite a few words with the hubby, who hates to wait for me to do my hair, lol. he cord twists around so that it does not get all tangled up, this also saves me time and spats. Anyone with my kind of life style or always on the go should definately purchase one of these. The price was also very reasonable, great value for the money invested.

I don't know what it is about curling irons, but they just don't seem to last. I seem to buy a new one at least every few years, if not more often. Because of that, I resist spending a lot of money on new ones, as I could spend double or triple the money, but it doesn't mean they're going to last any longer. This time I went with the Conair Instant Heat Curling Iron, and truth be told, I think I've used it before, but it wasn't my last one, so it didn't make me rush out and buy it again the next time, so that tells you something. Using it this time, I find that it heats up really well. We all know what the danger is of curling irons that heat up really hot and fast, but after nearly thirty years of curling iron use, I feel like my neck should be immune to that. Besides, with these curling irons with multiple settings via dial, I just always go to the highest one anyway. There's also an added option for Turbo Heat, but I haven't found where that made a lick of difference to use it, although it's supposed to "lock in" the curl. This is just your basic curling iron. Again, there is nothing that stands out about it, but there is something I'm noting using it this time that is making me not want to buy it the next time. I can't get it to stand on my dresser without tipping over. That means it's burning my dresser. I try swiveling and rotating the cord, and that helps a little until I pick it up and use it and put it back down again, then it's right back to burning my dresser. I'm going to need a trivet or hot pad for my dresser. Or maybe I just need to wait until the cord starts to get so twisted it doesn't swivel well. I do think it's enough that I'll remember this brand the next time, enough to avoid buying it and dealing with the cord/balance issues.

In the beginning I really loved my curling iron.  When my hair gets to a point that it does not want to hold a curl, this curling iron would do the trick.  Little did I know, while getting the curl in my hair, I was taking the moisture out of my hair.  The curling iron was burning my hair.  Making the ends of my hair frizzy and I hate having frizzy hair.  I won't say don't buy the curling iron.  I will say, don't use the heat just because it's there.  Be careful how hot you have your curling iron.

I have had this curling iron for years. I've had it so long, I don't even remember what life was like without it. I love it. It heats up quickly (okay, so not INSTANTLY, but pretty darn close) and retains its heat well. I can curl to my heart's content and it keeps up with me. I love that it has over 20 heat settings. Now, this is probably more than I need, but I like that I can use it to curl my little girl's hair, my medium girl's hair, and my hair without damaging anyone's hair. I've used this feature so much that the numbers have worn off. I have thick, coarse hair so I need an iron that gets HOT. On the highest setting, this one does the trick, yet it doesn't damage my hair. The cord is tough and plenty long. I've had to toss lesser curling irons because the cords begin to fray where they attach to the iron. The Conair cord seems to be reinforced and clad in iron because it isn't showing the least bit of wear, even though I use it every day. It has an automatic shut-off, which I always appreciate because half the time, I leave it on in the bathroom. No, I'm not blonde.

I'm not writing this review because I currently have a Conair curling iron in my possession but because I wish I did. I used to have one but took it on vacation and somehow it never returned with me. Instead of sticking with the tried, tested and true I decided to venture out and try another brand and I am thoroughly disapointed! But I am too cheap and feel guilty discarding of the new one I invested in that I feel I had better abuse it a little before I retire it.... I do know better why I like my Conair because I have tried another one (most of the reasons are because my new iron is lacking those things...). I love that my Conair heated up so quickly and stayed heated while I was using it. It was easy to hold onto and manage while using. It had several different heat settings that really did make a difference. And it was quality in its make because I had had it for a couple of years at the point of losing it and it still seemed to have a lot of life left in it. As soon as my other iron starts wearing out I know for sure to go back to Conair, no doubt in my mind!
