I love Comstock pie fillings and toppings. Their Red Ruby Cherry Pie Filling or Topping is absolutely delicious! The cherries are a great size-very plump and succulent. They taste rich and sweet. The filling is positively amazing. I love the filling-I don't know what is better-the cherries or the filling! Together they make a decant combination. We use this in cakes, as a topping for cheesecake and ice cream, pies, cobblers, and more. Their blueberry and mixed berry fillings are also delicious.

Although when most think of Comstock Red Ruby Cherry Pie Filling or Topping - we think: holidays, special occassions ect. but, there are so many ways to put Comstock Red Ruby Cherry Pie Filling or Topping to great use. For one thing, me and my family love the stuff and use it on a regular basis. I love the not too sweet somewhat tangy combination of flavor on French toast sticks, pan cakes, cheesecake, black forest cake and a freshly baked cherry crisp. The tangy zip tastes even better warmed up in a bowl by itself with a light dalop of cool whip. My children have invented their own Black forest sundae with chocolate ice cream and warmed Comstock Cherry Topping. What a tasty treat. As I said, it is not overly sweet and has a nice, pleasant tarty tang. Although it has a lot of cherries in it, it also balances the gel - like part as well so, it's not too lumpy or too gel - filled either. It tastes as if it is a high quality product and it is well worth it's price. Get creative, this product certainly makes it worth the time and effort.

I love cherry pie and this is hands down the best filling I have ever tried.  I use a can in all my cherry desserts, including pies, cheesecakes and even a filling for a black forest cake.  I love the flavors of the cherries, they aren't too sweet and not too sour.  One can is the perfect filling for all your desserts, and this product makes it quick and easy to make a delicious sweet treat.

I've NEVER used comstock for pie, if you believe it! We love this stuff to put on pancakes or waffles. We use it with ice cream and milk to make milk shakes. We use it in sopapillas for desert, which was actually very common in the largely hispanic area I grew up in.  My favorite for sopapillas is actually the blueberry.  Good multi-tasking stuff!

I love this cherry filling.  I believe that Comstock is the best brand for pie fillings.  We are not really pie lovers.  I use this pie filling in my chocolate cakes.  It is so delicious and I get raves from family and friends. You just prepare your cake mix as usual, and then, stir in the cherry pie filling prior to placing it in the oven to bake.  You can also use the blueberry filling, but my favorite is the cherry filling. So easy to make a special dessert. Obviously it can be used as a pie filling, but also as a sauce to pour over cheesecakes, and I know there must be dozens of other recipes where this filling would work out well.  Enjoy it everyone.

I'm really not bad about tasting while cooking, but I do make an exception when it comes to Comstock Ruby Red Cherries. If I'm using these cherries in a recipe, then I have to get a spoon and get every last drop of the filling out of the can. Yes. It is really that good. Comstock is the top selling brand for pie fillings, and they do make great fillings. In the case of the cherries, they use big, plump, sweet cherries. The sugar filling is fabulous. This stuff just looks beautiful. That's not the case with all brands. Some are not as bright red. Some brands use smaller cherries (and some deformed looking ones). The other sugar fillings are not as tasty. Obviously you can make a pie with this product. Just roll out a Pillsbury crust. Pour in the filling and bake. It's super easy, and it tastes much better than the quickie frozen cherry pies. This is also the perfect topping for Cherry Cheese Cake. My mom always used this brand when we were growing up. She'd make CCC for pot luck dinners, and we never had leftovers to carry home. Another easy one is to heat up the filling and serve it like cranberry sauce with a holiday meal. A little spoon of this is nice to contrast with the other meal flavors.
