When looking for a car seat for our son we wanted to do research one time only. Our interest was in a high quality, safe seat that would get us through the duration of car seat years. We wanted something that would be comfortable for our son and something that would grow with him. The First Years True-Fit...

I purchased this car seat after my son quickly outgrew his regular "carrying" carseat. I like this car seat because it is very soft and comfortable and of course fits him perfectly. But when he falls asleep, his head falls to the side, very far and it looks very uncomfortable so when he wakes up, it's...

The True Fit car seat is a great choice for almost every infant and toddler out there. It has one of the highest weight ratings for rear-facing - up to 35 pounds. This is important because the longer you can rear-face your child, the better. The AAP now recommends children remain rear-facing until age two. While rearfacing, if they are under a year and 22 pounds, the seats headrest can be removed, making it very easy to fit this seat at the correct angle in even the smallest car.

Once you turn your child forward facing, they'll be able to stay in this seat and harnessed until 65 pounds, also one...

I did a lot of research to decide what car seat to get for my 4 month old baby for our 2nd car.  I finally decided upon the First Years Tru Fit and I am sooo glad I did!  It is very comfortable for my baby and was pretty easy to install.  It has a very easy to adjust strap system that you don't have to uninstall to move up.  Very nice.  It also has a nice color coding so that you can easily see where the levers are for adjusting.  Likewise, the straps can be loosened and tightened easily.  And, perhaps most importantly, the fabric liner easily comes off for cleaning.  You don't realize...

The First Year's True Fit is a safe, comfortable convertible car seat! I bought this for my son when he outgrew his baby seat. Since he was only 7 months old, we had to put it into our car rear-facing.

In the rear-facing position, this seat can be a bit of a pain. It is difficult to get into the vehicle at the correct angle. It can also be difficult to loosen and tighten the straps in this position because the strap gets buried between the two seats. It also takes up a lot of room. My front passenger seat had to be pushed almost all the way forward!

I do love that it is really comfortable...

this is a great car seat. It's very suniggly. if i was in a carseat i would set in one of these types... great product. I have had this product from the time my son was born and asside of not coming out and fitting in a stroller it's the most perfect car seat i have found on the market. The car seat fits much better in a car rear facing then any other i have found. Since the top of the back comes off. But when your child becomes old enough to go forward facing it goes on and it has a cup holder also. It comes in a number of colors including a very girl color and many other options that work for...

The First Years Tru Fit, this car seat was perfect for my little neice. I would get her on the weekends and she loved this seat. I had tried other seats in the past and they would ride her in the wrong places or she would just undo them and be all over the backseat. This was a problem for me while I was driving. I needed something that was comfortable and was safe for her to ride in. The First Years Tru Fit was perfect! The First Years Tru Fit  was the only thing I could find that would work. The TruFit was great. I got The First Years Tru Fit  in a big toddlers size because she was kind of...

I purchased this seat with my second child because I gained alot of experience from the first on what was necessary and what wasnt.  I chose to buy a convertible car seat this time around because it would last longer and would be cheaper than having to buy several carseats over the years.  I like the look and feel of this carseat and my son who is now 9 months old absolutely loves it.  This is the only seat he has ever had and it has been road tested many times for trips that were over 3 hours.  The cover comes in several shades and is machine washable if there happen to be any mishaps.  It...

The First Years Tru fit car seat  has been great so far.

My child began using this carseat at 7 months, he was about 22 pounds.

It is SOOO easy to adjust, it is amazing!

I was looking for a car seat that went higher than 40 pounds but could also be rear facing.

The most important feature is its highway rating,  which was the highest I could find for under $200.00.

It comes in  a variety of colors also, I got a tan color which matches my interior by coincidene.

The car seat fits easily into my 4 door sedan.

The seat allows my son to be able to see out of the window better, which he loves!...

I love the idea of this car seat.  Having a removable headreast for a rear facing infant makes the seat so much smaller.  I am disapointed that it has to be added back in if the child is 20 lbs.

I am also not happy with the harness.  The harness can NOT be removed and replaced!  This is a serious issue for me.  My son has car sick problems.  If I can't replace the harness I will have to throw the car seat out after only a year.  It would be too gross to use at that point.

So, in the end I wish they would make it so the head rest can remain off until the child's head is 1" from the top...

I received this 1st Years Tru Fit carseat as a gift from my registry.  I decided on this seat because of the comfort and safety.  It is the most comfortable carseat I have ever owned for my children.  The colors are great for a boy and the extra padding is a huge bonus.  The seat cover is easily removable for washing.  Very easy to recline and adjust straps.  The only downside I have with this carseat is that the anchor system for rearfacing is a little difficult for me to use.  It is very easy for a stronger woman or a man, however smaller women may have difficulty.  This is just a minor...

The true fit convertable car seat is by far the best car seat out there. I've gone through several car seats before this one. This one isn't bulky, it fits in my car and my husband doesn't have to sit in the dashboard, which is a plus. My baby loves his car seat, its comfy and he doesn't complain about it. Even on long trips. I like the fact that you don't have to take it apart to wash it, just grab a rag and wipe it down. This car seat has the highest safety rating ever, even beats the extremely expensive britax carseats. I just wish they would have came out with this car seat when my first child...

I love my Compass (Learning Curve) True Fit. It installs so easily, the lock offs are easy to use, and it's actually more padded than the Britax seats!!  I love that it harnesses to 65lbs (35lbs rear facing with a deattachable headrest!! How cool is that?). How can you not love that?? We have the Morning Mist color and it's like a charcoal (rather than grey like described) and baby blue. My little guy looks so cute in it and I know he's safe. It's got the no thread harness which is nice since you don't have to uninstall it everytime you need to raise the harness to the next slot.

The first year tru fit is a good carseat for stage two(Stage one the infant carrier and stage three the big kid booster).  The carseat is limited to hold a child 5 to 50 pounds.  The best part about this seat is it is reverable can be seated facing backwards and forwards.  The padding of this car seat is triple layer that provides comfprt all around.  This cardeat is a five point harne which is now safer than the old ones and a removable headrest.

This seat is the best.  will last the full 7 years.  Comfortable for all kids.  Easy to install.  The top harness slots are nice and high.  I love this seat.  Will but it for next child.
