The True Fit car seat is a great choice for almost every infant and toddler out there. It has one of the highest weight ratings for rear-facing - up to 35 pounds. This is important because the longer you can rear-face your child, the better. The AAP now recommends children remain rear-facing until age two. While rearfacing, if they are under a year and 22 pounds, the seats headrest can be removed, making it very easy to fit this seat at the correct angle in even the smallest car.
Once you turn your child forward facing, they'll be able to stay in this seat and harnessed until 65 pounds, also one of the highest weight limits available. Don't worry too much if your child is skinny but tall - the shell for the True Fit once the headrest is installed is one of the tallest out there.
The seat installs easily, whether with the seatbelt or LATCH system. The cover is a breeze to take off for cleaning. The side padding and extra newborn headrest ensures a comfortable ride for your little one.
The only negative that comes to mind is that while rear-facing it is a little difficult to get to the adjuster for the shoulder straps. However, the straps are continuous so once you get a good and tight fit you shouldn't have to mess with it too much.
Bottom line is this is a great seat. Easy to install, comfortable, and will last for years.
