The First Year's True Fit is a safe, comfortable convertible car seat! I bought this for my son when he outgrew his baby seat. Since he was only 7 months old, we had to put it into our car rear-facing.
In the rear-facing position, this seat can be a bit of a pain. It is difficult to get into the vehicle at the correct angle. It can also be difficult to loosen and tighten the straps in this position because the strap gets buried between the two seats. It also takes up a lot of room. My front passenger seat had to be pushed almost all the way forward!
I do love that it is really comfortable for my son, and has lots of padding.
Now that my son is over 1 year old, I have placed this seat in the forward facing position, and it is so much easier to use. It is easier to install and to adjust the straps. My son loves being able to look out the window since now he is in a higher position.
One other negative thing about the straps is that sometimes they can shift so that one is longer than the other, and you have to adjust it.
This really is a great car seat, but is on the expensive side. I am glad for all of the safety features!
