Compaq v6000 Laptop Review

Well my husband is the IT Expert, but i have a few of my own opinions about the Compaq Presario v6000.  I have had this laptop for about three years now.   The things I like about it:  Good sized clear screen.  Typing is a breeze and it came with a bunch of fun stuff.  Unfortunately,  I keep finding things wrong with it.  The small controls for sound and mute up at the top of the board are broken.  Mute is temperamental and works only when it wants too.  I dont really appreciate moodiness in my computers. lol  It often freezes up on me, although i have never been in the throws of anything life saving.  But it ups the aggravation factor a bit. The wireless card had to be replaced.  This happened in the very beginning, so it was under warranty thank goodness.  You send it back in a postage paid package and they fixed it fairly quickly.  Supposedly, this was not an uncommon problem.  I know that batteries just go kaput eventually, but mine no longer holds a charge and it happened alot faster than expected.  sometimes i do wonder if some of the problems i experience are because of the operating system or the computer itself.  anyway, im not sure i would buy this one again but at the time the price was right.
