I came across. I think the Compaq Presarion model 5441 has gotten a bad rap for freezing and having to boot to get out of the situation. I think it\'s the O/S ( Operatin...g system ) that was packaged. Window\'s \'98 is a complete dog. ABout 3 months ago I upgraded to W2000 professioanl edition and I haven\'t had one problem with the PC. I had previously thought that I had memory, disk problems , even wondered about my video card. Since upgrading to W2K, I have had 0 problems with this system. The only problem I have is that I\'d like to upgrade CPU to 1.+ ghz but haven\'t figured out how. I guess most likely will have to buy new. Anyway, so make sure if some thing happens to your computer quickly as possible go and talk where you got the computer and get help from calling and make sure you buy that warranty
